It seems like everything I'm reading coming out of TC is doom and gloom so far and I'm starting to get a sick feeling in my stomach.

Houston - done - granted his not that big of a loss, but still bad news
Washington - out for personal reasons after throwing up on the field
Revis - Can't get his contract worked out, not in camp
Kendall - bitch bitch bitch bitch, moan, bitch
Team out of sync, fumbling, bumbling, blowing coverage, under throwing balls ...

I know it's only the second day of camp, but let's hear some good news dammit.

I'll take this. I have experienced enough seasons where the Jets had (relatively speaking) a pleasurable training camp and then went on to suck during the season.

Get a grip... its the first week of training camp and shit happens. If you are already getting scared now I hate to think what you might do when we encounter some real problems.

Cavka is in camp and hasn't tripped over his own feet, walked into any doors or fallen down the dorm steps yet.

Robertson is in camp and, while he still misses the fried chicken and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy that he used to get over at the Netherlands while Herm was running the camp, has managed to trim down his trips to Burger King to 4 a day.

I've been through some pretty rough seasons as a jets fan. I'm just getting a real bad, ominous feeling from the news coming out so far. I know it's real early.

No worries. I myself would rather see a shitty preseason and a great regular season than the reverse. I've seen it work the other way enough times myself. I take things like this as a good omen. lol Get the kinks worked out early and problems squared away in TC instead of the season. Give it time. It will all work out.

Only news so far that seems troubling is Leon's absence after his spill yesterday. Everything else will work itself out, I just hope he's okay.

Thats why its PRE SEASON and TRAINING camp..........besides if you notice for every bad report you see there are equally as many good ones (someone posted today that clemmons was looking very sharp and chad still threw alot of softies)

This team has a lot of depth, especially on defense. They had a year of drafting and free agency to acquire personnel that fit into their strategy. Look at how many defensive linemen and linebackers they have. And their secondary will hopefully be much improved in due time. Things aren't as gloomy as you think.
