First of all my birthday just passed, and My parents said, Either i get my PS2 repaired, which is a good option, counting on the fact that Madden is the only game i play, and since Xbox 360s version is the same, i should wait until X-mas Or should i get 360 now, since it will be alot easier than it will christmas time, and save money on paying for both repairs, and Xbox 360? You do realize that if you call up Sony, and give them a valid reason to why your Playstation broke, they will fix it for free. My PS2 broke twice (Disk Reading Error), and they fixed it for free twice. Are you saying you are debating to whether to buy an X-Box 360, or repair your PS2? Get the 360, then repair the PS2 and sell it. Even if you do have to pay to repair the PS2, I'm sure it isn't that expensive.
You may be able to fix your PS2 yourself depending on the problem. Dirty laser seems to be a common problem and I was able to fix mine myself. My PS2 wouldn't read any disc I put in there, all I would get was the browser screen and now it works better than it has in a long time. It is really pretty simple. yea i just did that yesterday, i wish i would've thought of it earlier because i was smacking the shit out of it trying to get it to work....so i don't know how much longer it will last
