I start two RB's in a league that is touchdown heavy, 1 pt. per 20 rush yards and six points per TD Ronnie Brown Julius Jones Anthony Thomas Kevan Barlow I am starting Ronnie for sure, and I am debating between Barlow and Julius, what do you think. I need to set my roster soon so any help would be appreciated.
You have to start Julius Jones. Care to return the favor and figure out which two I should go with? Amazing that I have to make such a decision. I really do have all the following players and 5 of them were drafted by me. (It's a 10-team league.) Frank Gore Ahman Green Ladell Betts Chester Taylor Willie Parker Larry Johnson
Damn Cakes, that's sick. You should trade some of them off, not only to improve the rest of your team but also to make you decision a little easier each week  I'd go with LJ for sure, I know Denver has a tough defense but you can't sit a guy like him, plus LT tore them up last week. For my #2 guy I'd go Gore. It's pretty close between him and Taylor, but Taylor has been streaky. The defenses they face give up about the same amount of touchdowns (10/11) but St. Louis gives up 35 more yards per game. I usually go on matchups (http://www.nfl.com/stats/teamsort/NFL/DEF-RUSHING/2006/regular?sort_col_1=7) and how hot a player is. And right now, although Taylor is coming off a pretty good week, Gore has just been on fire.
Yeah, Johnson starts. I benched Parker and put in Gore. I will decide between Gore and Taylor over the next few days. Amazingly, that team is only 8-3 and in 3rd place. I lost two games where I was in the top portion of the league in scoring that particular week (chalk up those two losses to luck of the schedule more than anything else). This past week I lost because I started McNabb instead of Rivers and Parker instead of Gore. That close to being 11-0. Instead I get 8-3 and 3rd place. That's fantasy football.
Tell me about it, I'm 8-3 because I lost by one point a few weeks back (see my angry thread in which I listed all the possible ways I could've won) and I lost by 5 this week because I started Stephen Jackson over Chester Taylor (can't be upset with myself about that one tho) and I didn't start Dallas' defense. The other loss was just a terrible week. But I could be 10-1 with a 3 game lead in my division instead of 8-3 with a half game lead.
Yeah, some of this stuff is really odd. In a different 10-team league, at one point the commisioner was 1-5 and in last place even though he was second in most points scored. My 3rd league is a keeper league on Yahoo Fantasy Football Plus. My team is only 7-4 but is the #1 seed right now in the 12-team, 2-division set-up. Of the 12 teams, I am only 7th in points scored. In that league I made the wrong call at QB 8 times this year. One time I made the right call and two times there was no call to make because my other QB had a bye. This past week I started Bulger. He gave me -6 and change. Brady and his 38 and change was on my bench. I still won.
