Need Help: PS3 or 360

I think PS3 is better if you're looking for more then gaming, but 360 has a much better game library.

 

Wii sucks.

Anyways, back to a helpful answer... I'd go with the 360. I own it, and I was a big PS2 guy. It comes down to what you like in games though, really. With the PS3, it's got slightly better graphics but it won't have games like Gears of War, Halo 3, etc. Most PS games come out for Xbox anyways, it's not the other way around all the time. That's one thing that sold me. I got it, and I love it. I'd definitely reccomend it.

But if you say that they are the same price. Id definately think about the PS3

 

Since you're not even considering the best option, I'll give you a little opinion on the other 2...

PS3 and 360 both have AMAZING graphics and you won't be disappointed...so I wouldn't really take that into consideration.

Games...could go either way, they will both have so-so games...

Controller....gotta go with PS3...360 isn't that bad tho, better than reg. xbox

Gameplay...don't have much experience with either but from what I've played SO FAR...I'd say PS3...but they're both real fun...obviously..

 

I prefer the 360 controller to all. The Wii controller is just dumb, and PS3 controller feels weird.

Not to mention, I used to only play games for fun on PS2, but Xbox 360 enables a much better online system than the other two.

Those stupid, weak little joystick things being right next to each other, and hard to control on the ps3 compared to the 360. If you have, or are considering a 1080p tv, the ps4 has much better graphics. 360 better games.

It wasnt even a hard choice for me, 360 has gears and Halo3. And i couldnt afford a ps3 anyway

 

Well I've played with all 3 you guys and the PS3 controller is the same thing as the PS2 controller except the L and R 2 buttons are more sensitive.

The 360 controller is cool because it's smaller, I've just always loved the d-pad, analog, x, square, triangle, o... just easier imo

 

It's the same just diff symbols.

A=X
X=Square
Y=Triangle
B=Circle

It's like playing a PS2 practically.

I love having the left joystick switched with the D-Pad though.

 

If you like Final Fantasy then get a PS3, if you prefer Halo then get the Xbox 360. Both systems get GTA so that won't be a problem.

 

I currently own all 3 and they do all have pros and cons.

Wii - Bought mostly for the exclusive games, i.e. Zelda, Metroid, etc... The controls are fun and the games like Wii Sports, Wario, etc... are great for a group of people. Graphics are the greatest but better then original Xbox. The focus is on simplicity and fun.

PS3 - Sleek and slick in terms of appearance, power, and functionality. Definitely prefer the Sixaxis controller. No lag whatsoever and a comfortable fit. Games are few right now but that is always the case with any launch. GTA4, Metal Gear 4, FF XIII, Resistance Fall of Man, Heavanly Sword... all great reason to own a PS3. I also have a 47" 1080p LG LCD so the Blu-Ray option is a winner. If only they'd update to allow upconverting SD DVDs. Downfall right now is the network. It is very slow, does not allow multiple downloads, and you can't play while you download. I hope and assume this will be fixed with an update as many people are complaining.

360 - Excellent graphics but VGA/Component still don't measure up to the quality of the PS3. Excellent library of games and who can argue with Gears of War, Halo 3, alan Wake, Fable 2, Too Human, Mass Effect. The 360 currently wins when it come to online play and network features. Smooth, intuitive, and loads of content not to mention multiple downoads and download while you play. I haven't bought the HD DVD add-on so can't comment on that. Locked up on me once vs. 3 times for the PS3.
