My son is a big fan of the series and says it's almost exactly the same as last year with throwing the bomb into 3 defenders and out jumping them for the ball...disappointing...
The gameplay feels almost exactly the same, which sucks. Supposedly EA knows about the jump ball defense in the demo and fixed it - I guess they took it out of the final version. The player models look better - the kickers aren't huge. The receivers and backs actually look smaller than the offensive linemen. TeamBuilder is an awesome feature. Also, if you use a running play out of a specific formation enough, the percentage of a play action working goes up. It's getting more realistic year-to-year.
decent demo. madden totally blew ncaa out of the water as far as gameplay improvements go this year. the awful blind 10 foot jump interceptions from last year seem to be gone which is a good thing(i only played madden but i assume ncaa had this problem as well.) the game doesn't have any major gameplay fixes but it feels much more polished than last year was. if ncaa is starting to feel like a good football game again i cannot wait to see how madden feels.
The NCAA game for PS3 was putrid last year. The players had a robotic running style. I do not think human beings were actually used for the motion capture. Nice graphics, though. Awful, awful gameplay. The series was a thousand times better on PS2.
Played it. Noticed some momentum differences. For example, if u try and switch direction quickly the player will stop and change directions. Unfortunately this is only if u have the ball. The defensive backs react WAAAAY too quickly. They hit full speed the second you throw the ball so u can't fit it into seams. Something that always pisses me off in NCAA and madden
