Great game. About as realistic as a basketball game can get, no flaws or anything. The Jordan modes are awesome. My favorite mode "My Player" is much improved too.
Probably the best basketball video game ever... the game play is so much better than in past games. The Jordan modes are excellent and I love how you can play with some of the classic 90's teams, not just Bulls. The 93-94 Knicks and the late 90's Jazz teams, it adds an excellent touch to already great game.
the fucking 93-94 knicks. wow..... can't fucking wait till this week is over. i've held out on purchasing fifa and 2k11 this past week and this upcoming week because i've got a shitload of exams and if i picked any of these games up i'd get no fucking studying done. can't wait.

2k has been better than Live for years. ..imagine the football games we'd be getting if EA didn't have the license. 2k makes sports games for the real fans, EA makes it for casual fans. Plus it would make competition.
When EA bought the NFL license, the 2K series was the better play for football, but honestly Madden was still a great game back then. Since they bought the license, though, Madden's gone fucking downhill. The fact that EA doesn't hve any competition probably plays a big part in that. Still, EA is good for some stuff. For the past 3 years FIFA has been far and away the best football sim on the market, and their NHL series has dominated too.... Live sucks though. Anyway, how different is this NBA 2K compared to the 2K of the past 2-3 years? I'll be honest, I didn't really like any of the new 2K's after 2K7, but I've heard 2k11 is much different...
live sux ass. 2k has made basketball playable again. does the players move smoother than last years game? does the computer still glitch out of bounds ?
any idea when we will get a new 2K college hoops game? EA's basketball is almost unplayable, and i prefer the college game, but will prolly have to go back to the NBA this year since 2k11 is this disgusting
I haven't taken the time to get too good yet...but Make sure you get the timing of your shots down, on non XboxLive games you can set it so it shows if the timing was good, or you can just go to practice Don't force shots with anyone, and make smart passes...turnovers kill you Just have good ball movement and play smart, and don't go for too many steals or blocks on D...just contest I haven't taken the time to do it yet, but learning the post moves and isolation moves probably really help as well Most people you play are going to be stupid and try and score 80 with a Lebron or Kobe and go for blocks and shit all the time, you really just have to play smart to win in this game against most people.
yea, my biggest issues is that I can't move the ball to well, or I can't drive to the hoop. I'm still learning how to cross people over and how to protect the ball. It's not easy. I think in my first ranked online game, I only put up 27 points. Although, I only gave up 33....
Yeah they did a good job of clogging up the passing lanes in this game. You can't just blindly pass it around to anyone, you actually have to make good decisions...it takes some getting used too. Do you ever try running plays? I haven't too much yet.
Thank god.most games it's so easy to score in the paint or burst through the lane with a superstar. Even playing a crowded zone
...just picked this game up tonight. I have Friday off, so I'll try to get the controls down as fast as possible. I'll start playing online once I figure everything out. I haven't played a basketball game since College Hoops 2K8, so that might take a while.
Same here just got it today and gave My Player mode a quick run through. This game plays amazing. 1 thing I did notice is to make it even more true to real life bastketball change the "Game Style" settings to Simulation. Team shooting percentages average in the 30-40% range vs. 70's on default setting. This game is much better than last years.
