#1 Alabama - beats LSU, remains #1 #2 Texas Tech playing OK State soon #3 Penn State lost to Iowa. That'll drop them out of the top 5. #4 Florida plays soon #5 Texas beat Baylor #6 Oklahoma beat Texas A & M
LSU just burned a timeout, and then challenged the play and lost. Burned 2 timeouts for one clock stoppage.
LSU-Alabama going to OT. Last second short FG was blocked by LSU. Alabama's kicker did a bad job. Didn't get height on it.
LSU got picked off on their OT possession (huge play for Rashad Johnson), and then a big catch for Alabama set them up at the 2. Two plays later, Parker Wilson snuck it in for the TD. 27-21 and Alabama remains the #1 team in the country
how about Saban going back into that stadium and winning, even after his kicker missed a FG he should've made. Wow. Even if Texas Tech wins in a blowout, Alabama should remain #1. Florida should be #2 or #3, assuming they win.
I would love to see a Florida vs. USC National Title game. There would be soooo much speed on the field.
I cannot begin to say what a failure of a season this is if it wasnt the players it was the coahcing staff Lee makes the worst throwing decisions, or he makes great throws and his receivers drop it or do something incredible stupid. and when its not lee its Garry Crowton calling retarded plays also CO-DEFENSIVE COORDINATORS give me a break I hate the fact that none of our DB's can tackle and we give up way to many big plays LSU season is an epic fail we havent beaten one elite SEC school this is horrible season it was brought on by qb with tons of pottential who fails himself or his recievers or coaches fail him or its by our Defense which is awful and RYAN PERRLLIOUX
I think Penn State being in the title game would have made the game play worse, so now we're pretty much assured of having two teams better than Penn State in the title game.
texas tech screwed again. He got struck in the head after he threw the ball. No call. That's an easy 15 yard penalty.
Ah, I know. The best team in the country is USC. The best conference in the country is the SEC. It should be Florida/Bama vs. USC. Texas Tech won't be able to hold that #2 spot for too long...especially with Oklahoma approaching. I just don't want to see another Big 10 team in the national championship.
agreed. Big 10 teams are not on the same level as the top teams in the SEC and Big 12. Anyway, I watched Texas Tech on Saturday Night Football back to back weeks. Two comments: 1)People tend to ignore them with all the on air fellatio going on with Harrell/Crabtree, but if you want to know what impresses me about Texas Tech besides the great coaching, it's the offensive line and Whitlock (the great defensive tackle). We've seen the story over and over again, and people always ignore the real issues and focus on the skill players. Of course Harrell is a really good player for the system and Crabtree is talented (not to mention the other receivers and even one of their RBs), but their offensive line is amazing for what they're doing. And for a guy who isn't on the field every play, Whitlock makes an impact on every game, seemingly (admittedly I haven't seen all their games). 2)Brent Musberger is washed up. I know, I know. "Why do you care about the announcers?" Because I'm amazed that people can be this bad at their job and still keep it. What's his job? Mostly this. And he's awful. He's constantly confusing words, numbers, everything. He never bothers to correct himself. Ever. He claims something happened that didn't (that somehow Harrell threw the ball, it magically deflected back to him, and then he completed a pass) and then never corrects himself. It's called a pump fake, you old fool.
based on this, how I'd rank it would be: 1)Alabama 2)Texas Tech 3)Florida 4)Texas 5)Oklahoma going according to how people use polls and the impressiveness of each of their wins, there's no movement except Penn State getting knocked out of the top 5 (and behind USC and maybe even Utah). of course, as I said last week, I think Florida is the best team in the country.
funny thing is, that game almost went under the spread (a cheap under) like the way it had a cheap over last week. The game was headed for going under 72 until TT scored a meaingless TD with a few minutes left.
1.) alabama 2.) Texas Tech 3.) Texas - Lost to the undefeated current #2 team in the country 4.) Oklahoma - Lost to the #1 team in the country (at the time) 5.) Florida - Lost AT HOME to an unranked school 6.) USC IMO
