Every game he is listed as the starter. I think I can count on my hand the number of times I have physically seen him on the field. NFL stats have him with 1 tackle all season. Am I missing something? Does he really play at all?
He seems to get snaps mostly on running downs as a rotational guy. He seems to be eating up blockers decently but not be the type to shed blockers and make plays. I have yet to really notice a play where I think he should have held that gap, but may have missed a few. He’s getting snaps for sure, just doing the job of an average 34 lineman.
He's been in about 40% of defensive plays and started 3 out of 5 games. I don't know about today. We knew he was raw coming in. Was anyone expecting him to put up all-pro numbers his first season?
Nah - I was just asking because I watch every snap of every game and truly have not seen him even though they list his as the starter. I actually had to look up his number yesterday which is pretty telling.
There was plenty here that thought he was gonna be a stud Day ONE. The deck was stacked against him from the beginning. The level of competition he played, Canadien, learning an entirely new position, OT/OG as big or even bigger than him. Another swing and miss from Macc.
Yeah, Macc should have been drafting a little conservative last draft. The Jets had less high picks after the Darnold trade. Don't know what they saw in this guy.
I say somebody from TGG put a resume together for GM...Mac is just throwing darts at players pictures..lands on the nose he's drafting him
