    http://news.yahoo.com/civil-rights-...ding-to-be-black--parents-say-142027280.html#

Her parents say she is of European decent but she has posted pictures of herself with a black man she claims is her father instead of her true father. Unless of course these 2 people are just trying to stir up trouble and don't even know her.

While I don't see any reason the chapter should not accept a white leader if that leader is truly pushing forward the agenda of the NAACP then again if that person is claiming some things that are not true then what else is she hiding?

I know if my daughter ever claimed another man was her father I would probably lose it.

Now I can say I've heard just about everything. Back in the not too distant past, Lighter skinned Blacks with "good hair" tried to pass as White to gain the benefits of belonging to the majority. They hid their black ancestry and reinvented themselves. Michael Jackson was perhaps the last of this kind of Black person although I'm sure there are many others that pass themselves off as bi-racial.

As a society, we've come a long ways since the 20th century and its morals so, being bi-racial isn't considered shameful anymore and almost a badge of honor celebrating our diversity as a culture. Now this woman has created an entirely new class of self-hatred. I'm pretty sure if my Dad were still around, he'd be falling out of his chair laughing his ass off at this. Personally, I went to HS with a young white girl that in her heart, was Latina. She learned the language, married into the culture and along the way, got her Law Degree. She didn't use her Latina soul as a vessel to obtain better economic position.

This situation may have an altruistic answer. Maybe this woman thought that the only way to be accepted into the community and rise to this level of leadership was to pretend to be black. She had to know her secret couldn't last forever. No secret ever does.

Should she be punished or ostracized over this? I don't think so and I hope the good people of color in Spokane use their common sense and their Christian sense of forgiveness to let this woman either continue serving their community or honorably fade away.

Yes, I would think if she was doing a good job that they will overlook this. On the other hand she is probably going to lose some trust and of course there are always some that won't be able to look past the color issue.

Someone that wants that $100,000 job she has is going to push for her removal.

Well in the age of accepting everything I guess we are allowed to be whatever race/sex we want and nobody can tell us any different regardless of the facts or definition of said identity

If you can change your gender, why can't you change your race?

Btw, I don't care what you cut off or implant, if you have a Y chromosome you are a male and if you have 2 X's you are a female.

You can call yourself a woman or a man, but that doesn't change the genetics.

From what I was reading, she faked some hate crimes against her too. In one case she reported a package in her PO box that had racial slurs or something in it, and when the postmaster investigated it they said it wasn't even processed as mail and the only way it could have gotten there was by someone opening the box with the key and putting it there
