If Kerry Rhodes' time in New York is running out, we need to find a longterm replacement. Myron Rolle has a boatload of potential. He's a bit of a sleeper because he eschewed his senior year of college football to study at Oxford, England. I think that he'll be a better player than Taylor Mays. He has all the tangibles and all the intangibles. A lot of people are saying that either his football skills declined or that football isn't at the forefront in his mind. I think that this gives Rolle a chip on his shoulder and that he'll be a field general for any team's defense. here's a video on Myron Rolle: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-senior-bowl/09000d5d8162015a/Myron-Rolle-preps-for-Senior-Bowl
Myron Rolle This is an interesting guy to look at if he is around in Round 2 of the draft. We know he is a great football player and a great mind apparently: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704238104574602350196862702.html I had read elsewhere that he looks great compared to the other prospects and could really be a stud at the next level. Don't have link to where they were saying he looks better than most other draftees. Very interesting prospect....
Ah, my mistake. I remember seeing one on Myron Lewis, but I didn't think there was one on Myron Rolle. Usually I use the auto-check button.
Sounds like a great guy. And it also sounds like hell be available in the 3rd/4th possibly even 5th rounds. You can tell the WSJ doesnt write much about sports, they dont even mention what position he played (although at one point they mention the defensive back class ) But I really dont see this guy going early. His heart doesnt seem to be in football, and he seems like the kind of guy who would throw the towel in very early in his career to pursuit other interest
He was on PTI a few weeks back, and gave, easily, the most impressive athlete interview I've ever seen. Incredibly smart, well spoken gentleman. I guess FSU had at least one student-athlete.
not necessarily just hearing about him, but remembering he is in this draft and going to be a force after taking some time away from the limelight and football..I agree that football is not his first interest and may hang them up relatively early, but still, a great guy to have on any defense
I think he was the top rated high school prospect. He has tremendous potential and if he is there on day 2 would be an absolute steal. He was very good at Florida State as well.
If Myron Rolle is available when we're on the clock in the second round, I think it's a no brainer...unless someone else takes a huge fall. I'd take Rolle over many of the safeties that a lot of TGG posters have rated fairly high. He's got a ton of a talent, but what impresses me the most about him is that he wants to keep getting better and better. I have no idea what this has to do with the New York Jets though.
This thread is in the right area. the other one belongs here. But I love how people who rarely post pop up and make threads that don't belong where they are and ask questions that have been answered for the past 2 weeks. All they have to do is fucking search the forum.
yeah that was a very impressive interview. they didn't even know how to react to him calling them sir and everything.
please keep threds like this, right here, where they belong, for TGG members like me and many others who log on once a day, read what's 'fresh' and move on. - i never have time to 'scour' 30 folders looling for that 'one fresh thread' - 'merged' threads are ok to an extent, but threads that are 30 pages long bore me and i can never remember where i left off
go to the draft forum, it takes an extra 10 seconds. You'll find 4 threads with info on Myron Rolle in them.
Been following Rolle since his early days in HS. He's a south jersey kid who would be a nice addition in the secondary.
You really think he's a 2nd rounder? I know he has all the intangibles (brains, work ethic, etc) but was he considered that high of an athletic prospect?
