Vince Young at 3? What happened to change your mind and put him up there? I think it's the right move, just curious as you haven't really been his biggest fan.

Also, I like the bulk of the draft, fills needs and also pretty much defines our identity. Didn't see anything really glaring about the players that were picked where they were, besides things that are mostly personal opinion based. Like Omar in the mid 2nd over Croyle and Whitehurst; I don't think Jacobs is any better than a mid 3rd round guy, overrated talent and played in an offense that can make anyone look great.

Also, you might have to start bumping up you guys at WR up a little bit. People know who they are now, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Marshall sneak into the 1st day.

One last thing, if the Niners pulled Ferguson, Marcedes Lewis, and Hester in the first three rounds there'd be some mighty celebrations going on in SF.

Not bad. Kelly Jennings fell pretty bad, but I wouldn't mind investing a 2nd in him. Not bad, not bad at all.

Cutler is not worthy of the 4 pick. After all the hype about how good he was and how great he would be in the senior bowl, he did NOTHING. He has not proven that he's worthy of a top 5 pick and at this point should go #9 or #16.

The only LB I want in this draft is AJ Hawk... if we don't get him then we'll be fine with Hobson-Vilma-Barton.

I do like both the Whitworth and Cook picks... and our day 2 goes very well.

I like your picks but I have one serious question... think about this as I feel it makes alot of sense.

I like Cutler but I like Brady Quinn better so the question is do we pass on Cutler this year with a potential oppurtunity next year to draft Brady Quinn. A) Are we going to be bad enough to be in position to draft Quinn and B) is Quinn going to have another season like he did last year to prove his worth?

Another guy I like that will be coming out next year is Sam Keller at Arizona State. Could be another potential 1st round QB if he stays healthy.

Apparently Floyd Reese {Titans GM} was on Sirius radio the other day ... I read that on another board ... Reese said the Titans are looking at a QB at #3 and then inferred it would not be Cutler in that spot

So my feelings become irrelevant ... Reese seems to be leaning towards Leinart or Young

I've had no change of heart, GH ... Just reflecting Floyd's sentiment in my latest mock

Right now Brady Quinn is the FAVORITE to be next years #1 Overall Pick

Doesn't Gurantee it, but right now he's the overwhelming consensus favorite ... on my board as well

So I think it would be FOOLS GOLD to place your eggs in that basket ... if you need a QB and you have a crack at a Good One now, you better pull the trigger because you don't have a TOP 5 Pick every year and the odds on being in a position to draft Quinn is a longshot at best

Yeh that is what scares me too, I would love Quinn but so would alot of GM's picking next year. I am not totally sold on Cutler but he definately falls into my top 3 picking at #4. I am just hoping on of the top 6 O-linemen fall to us in the second round

Just like Leinart was a consensus #1 pick last year? And you don't think another QB will emerge?

From what I have read Cutler was MUCH more impressive in the practices then in the game...

MSUJet are you hinting that Drew Stanton might be worthy of a top pick also?

 if so I'm on that bandwagon too

Exactly.... Stanton, Keller and Quinn will all be coming out next year and I'm sure there will be a few other guys that turn into this years Cutler. A mid round 2 - 3rd round guy that shoots up the charts with an impressive senior season.

Wow, taking another look at this- its sucks!!!!!

We will not pass on DE Mathias Kiwanuka to get Eric who isn't even considered 1st round talent anymore. Hekc we wouldn't get him over all 4 great OLB you have dropping to the 2nd round! Please.

Awesome. We're going to have someone who cracks when they have to perform.

I still don't understand all this hype. And if we cut Fabini, Kendall AND Mawae we really can't draft only two offensive lineman. I like Carpenter a lot, but I'm really not sure if we have the luxury with all the losses the offense is going to sustain.

Couple of other problems. The Raiders no longer need a sideline to sideline linebacker like D'Qwell Jackson. They have Kirk Morrison and Danny Clark for that. Hawk is a good selection but if they pick him then they really don't need another linebacker much less a middle linebacker. Morrison and Clark act as MLB.

Cleveland's backfield isn't that bad. Cromartie is solid in the second, but they have two young safeties to develop and Gary Baxter on one side. Cleveland is number four in the league in pass defense. Give them a linebacker or offensive tackle in the first.

Seattle has defensive end locked down with Bryce Fischer and too much money invested in Grant Winstrom. They lead the NFL in sacks. If anything they need a big bulky linebacker like Carpenter to take on blocks.

if Quinn is in fact the top pick next year - the jets would certainly be in the running for that spot - you have to project both Qb's at the NFL level. will Cutler be better than quinn, vice-versa?????

Bottom line - if you have made up your mind on QB at the top of the 06 draft than go get him - and that would be cutler....

than if the jets do in fact get the top spot in 07 AND quinn is the top choice- it gives mucho leverage to entertain a deal.

now if it would only work out that way in real life......

I'm pretty sure Morrison plays WLB but I see what you are saying.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say whoever takes D'Qwell Jackson in the second will be getting a huge steal.

I like it Jabba. I especially like that you addressed the OL early

But what do you think about this guy?

    Jahri Evans, Bloomsburg ― 6' 4"/335 lbs.

I've heard some pretty good things about him

Raiders will not go for a ILB in first two rounds. Raiders are loaded at ILb with K Morrison, D Clark and Ryan RIddle. What they are lacking is outside LBs (Reason they played a big nickel defense alot last year. . They have Sam williams for one outside lb position and are in need of outside lbs. (preferable one with coverage skills)
Raiders will go defense with that pick(outside chance TE Vernon Davis)
The second round pick will be best OG left on board.(I say massive USC G
