In a 12 year career with New England, Buffalo and Baltimore, current Jets running backs coach Sam Gash NEVER lost a fumble. He did fumble 4 times, but his team recovered all four. He also only had 121 carries and 169 receptions in those 12 years. Still, 290 touches, no fumbles......lost.

Not that remarkable. Most good RBs get 290 carries in a year and don't fumble more than 4 times regardless of if it is recovered.

Yes, Gash was good. I just wanted to note the record.

the one fumble i will never forget is the one by Keith Byars (a guy who never fumbled) in the 1998 AFC Championship Game. The beginning of the end....
