Round 1 - Vernon Gholston DE/OLB Ohio State (Trade Jonathan Vilma for a second round pick to the Lions, Bengles, or Saints) Round 2 - Gosder Cherilus OT Boston College Round 2b - Adarius Bowman WR, Oklahoma St. Round 3 - Kendall Langford DE, Hampton Round 4 - Shannon Tevaga OG, UCLA Round 5 - Frank Morton NT, Tulane Round 6 - Rodrick Johnson ILB, Oklahoma St. Round 7 - Mike Cox FB, Georgia Tech Adarius Bowman might not be there that late into the second, especially if he has a good combine, And Gosder Cherilus may be taken sooner but I don't see it, but if he is Chris Williams should be there who is as good of a prospect. Other than that I think it's pretty realistic.
Great third round pick. If we want Cherilus we have to trade up into round one. All of the bottom feeders drafting ahead of us in round two would definitely take him before we could get him.
I like it ---- its realistic. If we make that Vilma trade & stand pat at #6 and not trade down any further than where our picks are currently projected to be, than this would be our safest case scenario - which is pretty acceptable. Not to mention whatever moves we make in FA (God, I hope its a lot). I actually hope that we could get Langford in the 4th round which means we could use 3rd round on a solid ILB to put next to D. Harris. Originally I was thinking 3rd round on a guard of better quality than Tevaga, but I am hoping we can get Jacob Bell in FA. If so, then that would change my position prefence for that draft choice. Just not sure if Frank Morton will be there in the 5th round.
