My offseason plans

So most people know my stand on Mangini; I want him gone and filled with a coach who can motivate and lead this team to its potential. AKA Bill Cowher. So anyway this is my plan.... With Favre gone we will be having a young qb battle between Kellen and Ratliff, Cowher has been in this position before with Rothlesberger. I dont think we will make the playoffs so we will have a pick between 17-22, this is probably not gonna sit well with alot of people but I think we need to draft a punishing rb here like beanie wells or shon greene. Before you bash me I know Thomas Jones is still a great rusher and I still want to give him 15 carries a game.
Heres the game plan, we do what the giants, steelers, panthers, Ravens, dolphins and what many teams are doing today, running back by committee. For one we dont have a rb that scares people or to set a tone or a goal line back. A guy like wells or Greene can push the pile and set a tone and a definition for our offense as well as put some fear in the d (our brandon Jacobs). We then have Thomas jones (our derrick Ward) he will get between 10-15 carries a game. Jones is still a good rusher but he has some miles still on him, this allows him; 1. to stay healthy during the season 2. go up against beat up rushers during the game, and 3. Preserve his career in the NFL. And then we have leon washington a change of pace back.

Cowher has done this before with Rothlesberger as a rookie. I believe Ratliff can be a good qb but why put the pressure on him. Lets run the ball 40times a game and throw 10-15. We have a good O line to run block and i believe Dbrick will get better at run blocking this offseason by gaining some more weight. This is why the rest of the draft we go defense and bulk up our dline get a pass rusher/ someone who can cover the pass, and pick up a cb or safety.

I think a big part of why we lost some games this reason is because we put alot of pressure on favre.... Albeit he is a HOF QB, it wasnt necessary. We for the most part had a good rushing game in all of our games we just werent persistent. A guy like Cowher will insist on shoving the ball down the other teams throat.

Give up 4th rounder vilma trade
Get 4th rounder for kendall

2nd round mlb who can defend the pass/rush the passer
3rd round nt to sub in for jenkins
4th round cb or safety
4th round tall lengthy wr

cb Dunta Robinson- great cornerback opposite revis (chances of us getting him slim)

ss Dawan Landry-Hard hitting ss that will make rbs, wrs, tes not wanna get up

olb terrell suggs- No explanation a great pass rusher

The ravens wont be able to resign ray lewis, bart scott, terrell suggs, and dawan landry... Hopefully we can get one of them

Johnathon Babineux- A decent dt who i think could play well in the 3-4 as a de

fs will allen- Veteran fs who would allow Rhodes to be the playmaker we thought he was

I'm sorry I couldnt provide players in the draft spots but I am not too knowledgable about later picks so I decided not to pick anyone at all

 

I disagree Mangini just isnt persistent with the run game or using leon in the run game. TJ has another 2 yrs max before the wheels fall off`
