Round 1 (10-15 range) Chance Warmack OG Alabama- I watched the SEC title game and focused on him and Jones of Georgia. He is a monster of a man and he absolutely blew guys off the line. I was high on DeCastro last year and I still felt that was the way to go we might luck out and get Warmack. With Moore slowing down and Slausen and Ducasse not long term solutions we have to address this position. It's not about where you draft guards, it's about we absolutely need to upgrade the OL and this is the way to go.

Round 2 Shayne Skov ILB Stanford - Bart Scott's days are done and Harris has lost a step. I think Davis is best suited to play OLB. Skov has good instincts and can get to the QB. He is nasty and physical. He also has some character issues so he'll fit right in.

Round 3 Chase Thomas OLB Stanford - We address our need for a pass rushing OLB. Thomas is one of my favorite players in the draft and by adding Skov and Thomas we instantly go from one of the worst/oldest and slowest linbacking corps in the league to one of the fastest and most physical. People question the need to go LB in back to back rounds but it's clear this is the weakest unit on the D and an upgrade here would do wonders for the rest of the defense.

Round 4 Monte Ball RB - Might not last until round 4 but he has great vision and a nose for the endzone. I do think Wisconsin backs usually benefit by playing behind good OL's but Ball seems to be a different breed from the rest. He has explosiveness and is tough to tackle. He started out slow but he has produced his entire career.

I Really like all these players.

I would love love love Warmack in round one. If we truely want to be a running team this is a great start.

Skov I don't like in the second. Rex Prefers bigger guys with long Arms at OLB, Davis does not cut it. If we go OLB in the second your third rounder is more likely the pick. Thomas is a sure fire second rounder in my mind and probly an early one.

Ball Is hard to read. I love his vision and all around ability, but he lacks that home run ability. Rob Rang says his style reminds him ( style not over all skill) of Curtis Martin. No one thing about him is great, but all together its a great package for a RB. I could see him dropping to the 4th becaseu he is not going to put up eye popping numbers at the combine.

I like all 4 players. I think Thomas goes before Skov though.

I've moved this to it's own thread, sorry I wasn't thinking when I posted in to this thread, many apologies.

Why hijack this thread with insane drivel? There is a fantasy football board.

And at the bottom was a 7 pick no trade draft, though not a great one. Again, it is what it is. Ignore it or whatever. I didn't think it worthy of it's own thread. Was just something I did for fun that was different on the first part.

But at least everything had a reason, even if it's a reason that probably wouldn't occur in whole, but any single portion of it under the circumstances is under the realm of possibility, but all of them together is too much, yes.

I enjoyed the read 1968, but something like that would just not happen. 9 picks in the first 3 rounds? and if Te'o is still on the board and we pass on him I would be very upset. the Jets are also said to be VERY interested in him, so if he was there I don't see us trading back.

I like some of the picks: Warmack (who I don't think falls all the way at 26), Warford, Porter and Rambo.

I feel like this is just way too much to do in one offseason.

I'm still against the Revis trade, but it was a very interesting read.

Well, its not as if the draft forum sees things fall off the first page in a day or two. I'd rather you make a new thread for things like it than repost it under Barrys Mock.

Good point, I just didn't want to clutter the main page, but in retrospect I had started a different thread that I had forgotten about, so I'm cutting it out of this thread and putting it under that one. Sometimes In my old age I forget things ;)

I agree, and I'm moving it to a different thread because I wasn't thinking when I put it in to this thread.

I was surprised that Warmack dropped that far, but that's what happens when you let a program pick based off of need and ranking. But in the end the program was the best way to go to keep me from playing favorites, though I did over ride a few really dumb things it picked and kept it from doing any real reaches.

haha sounds good. Sorry to be a dick about it, but I like the draft forum in that its lower traffic allows for better discussion (untill April), os multiple piles in one thread annoy me.

No you were quite correct, I chose poorly. Side effect of having had too little sleep and too much time on my hands. I just didn't want to clutter the main page up and if I had thought about it abit I woulda just posted it under my other thread I made 2 weeks or so ago but forgot about.

No being a dick about it :) I'm man enough to admit when I choose poorly.
