Be kind, fellas ... fire away, no need to hold back, just don't curse me out hmy:  http://www.draftdaddy.com/MD/GJH_Mock.cfm PS, The idea I had in mind following RD 4 was to draft a small school sleeper QB Ingle Martin or Erik Meyer in RD 5
Sorry buddy, I really just don't like it. LenDale White is one of a few players that I just simply hate as pro prospects. D'Qwell Jackson is going to be an awesome player, but not really someone we can use right now. I also don;t have much faith in Demetrius Williams and am not sold on the da of having two no name rookies coming in to anchor our OLine. Plus you spelled guage wrong in the Jets #4 pick summary.
There is no way Tangini is going to touch Lendale White. Tangini wants....."Hard working, smart, tough players who put the name on the front of the Jersey first"........sounds like the Anti Lendale White. I was never impressed with Lendale White to begin with, this crap that happened Sunday, just confirms my opinion. Maroney & Deangelo shoould send White an early Christmas gift, cause they just made more money. IMO, White will fall to the late 2nd rd or early third rd. White has been removed from quite a few draft boards, hopefully the Jets.
EDIT ALERT It should read Thomas Howard to the Jets at 35 and D'Qwell Jackson to the Packers at 36 ... I'm Just waiting for the editor to make that correction JETS PICKS ========= 1. DE Mario Williams 1. RB LenDale White 2. OLB Thomas Howard 3. WR Demetrius Williams 3. C/G Chris Chester 4. OT Paul McQuistan 4. NT LeKevin Smith In the 5th RD I take QB Ingle Martin or Erik Meyer
Great draft for the Cardinals. I wouldn't have as much of a problem with the Jets draft if they took Gilles with pick # 35. Passing on him and waiting so long to address the OL would be a huge mistake.
With that draft, I would like 1. Williams 1. Mangold 2. White 3. Ryan O'Callaghan 3. Martin Nance/Jason Avant 4. Brodie Croyle 4. Will Blackmon
While he's been fairly disappointing and slightly injury plagued, Bubba franks is still a good TE for the Packers, so I can't see them going TE when they have much more pressing needs. I'd see them going with Hawk or Ngata before taking Davis. Possibly even trading down and grabbing a WR or RB. The White pick is somewhat questionable. I like taking a RB there as I believe White, Maroney, and Williams would all be steals there. However, it may be worth the gamble to hope the remaining RB slips to #35 as 4 of the 5 teams between our picks are not likely to draft a RB. The only team that is likely to take one is Indy. If you roll the dice in this way, then Mangold is the pick here. As is, at #35, I'd probably go with Max Jean Gillies. White running behind him, could put a serious hurting on opposing front 7s. Round 3 should've fetched an O-lineman. O'Callaghan or Eslinger would've been nice. With the comp pick at the end of the 3rd round, I would've gone with Croyle. I'd like to take a flyer on a big WR in Round 4. I'm partial to Hank Baskett.
I agree with the Baskett pick in round 4--we lack a big redzone target. But I think that the Steelers might take LenDale White if he falls to #32--despite his terrible workouts, he's a Bettis-type power back who could complement Willie Parker very well.
I don't even think he gets past the Colts unless Maroney's there and they like him more. Jabba, I would LOVE this draft if it happened. We get the best defensive player int the draft at 4 that fills a major need, a very good RB who outplayed Reggie Bush running the ball a lot of the time at USC and came up big in big games, a great tackler to play OLB in the 3-4, and Spencer would be a major steal at the end of the third round. Williams is a good WR who would really help us and I think is also a steal inthe third. If this happened, I guess Spencer would play G and Kendall C, but we would still need a RT because I don't think McQuistan could start 1st year. Maybe Ryan O'Callaghan instead, or we'd have to sign a FA, maybe Brad Hopkins. Also, I like Drew Olson in the 4th more than both those picks, but I really love the first 3 rounds.
Perhaps I was a little harsh on you Jabba because I was just reading some things at NFL Draft Countdown saying those two linemen are in the top 10 of players rising in the draft. Of course, that now raises the question of if they will be available at those spots. article --> http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/features/hotcold.html
Thanks Rmabo, but know this ... I don't throw picks away, no matter what round, ever You should check our blog {updated multiple times daily} over at draftdaddy {http://www.draftdaddy.com/blog/blog.cfm}, we're aware of the risers and fallers much sooner than countdown ... I don't wanna brag, but most of these other site managers probably read our blog often, they'd be foolish not too, cause the cat who updates our blog {not me} does the best and most thorough job on the internet by a country mile So I have been aware of McQuistan and Chester's rise long before countdown posted it ... I've known about this for weeks, at least a month ... and there's other sleepers/risers where that came from, so if they get picked I would just move on to the next sleeper, riser, or high upside kid, but what I won't do {ever} is just throw my picks away on some career special teams/backup type of prospect simply because it's a mid-to-late round pick Point being, if you see me place some kid in my mock draft, IN ANY ROUND, assume I'm projecting a kid to the Jets who at least has a chance to be a steal in the mid-to-late rounds ... far more often than not, that assumption will be correct  PS. If you check the archives of our blog, you'll find notes on McQuistan and Chester dated back a ways ... probably before anyone else had them as risers ... and we have info on so many small school sleepers your head will spin ... our blog master even posts info on the best UDFA types following the draft, from America, Canada, Arena league, you name it ... heck, if there's a sleeper worth mentioning in Zimbabwe, chances are his name has made an appearance in our blog
I do check the blog out from time to time but not everyday, I mostly go back and review the parts that are new. Just happened to see this one first. Also, obviously you are going to pimp the players that your site backs, but it's another thing to see it reinforced elsewhere.
I'd be very surprised if Maroney went off the board before DeAngelo Williams, especially to New England, whose offense isn't really built around speed.
After picking up OT mike Pierson (projected) I would go: #4: Mario Williams, DE #29 Laurence Maroney, RB #35 Davin Joseph, OG (move kenal to C) 3a: Jonathon Scott, OT 3b: Demetrius Willaims, WR 4a: Jason Spitz, C/G 4b: LB depth 5-7 BAP winner
