Rate this badboy. QB: Carson Palmer - (2) Jake Delhomme (3) Drew Bledsoe WR: Plaxico Burress WR: Rod Smith WR: Terry Glenn (bench): Laveranues Coles RB: Rudi Johnson RB: Julius Jones (bench): Ahman Green (bench): Frank Gore - Nolan promises to use a run-heavy offense. If Gore can stay healthy, I'm hoping he'll have a solid season. TE: Heath Miller - He started off my season pretty well last night with 101 yards and a TD. =) K: Lawrence Tynes DEF: I tend to constantly drop and add this position, based on what defense is playing what offense. This week, I'm starting Philadelphia since they're up against the Texans. ------------ Overall, I'm not that happy with the team. Most of my RBs can end up being big time busts, so I'm abit wary of that position. WRs are abit weak, too. I'm shopping Palmer around (some poor team has Culpepper and Vick as his QBs), so maybe i'll get a sure-fire RB in return. I'd be content with rotating Bledsoe and Delhomme throughout the season.
Was just going to say you may want to trade away Palmer for some better rbs or wrs. Palmer will be a blow to your team but you need some more firepower. Keep in mind it's not a given that Palmer plays this whole season. Plaxico should be like your number 2. I would try to get a surefire rb and a good wr for Palmer. If you can get Dunn and another good wr I think that would be a good trade. But I agree.. start trading
Sorry man, There is No way you manage your team with "if's". Palmer is healthy and has been given a clean bill. He was a top Fantasy QB last year. You can't trade that away because he "Might" get hurt. Injuries happen. Other than Carson, Rudi Johnson is prety much the only "Solid" starter. The rest are questionable in terms of output or #2's at their position.
Unless there are two QB slots, there is no reason to carry more than two QBs. Dump Bledsoe for any starting RB who may be available. If none are available, pick up a backup RB. I don't like Jones. Gore and Green are okay to keep. Johnson is good. Keep him. You can probably trade Jones. He gives a lot of people wood because he played for Notre Dame and is now with Dallas. Two sexy teams.
I'm not shopping Palmer around because I fear he'll get injured...I simply need a more rounded team. My WRs and RBs are pretty weak, so I need to upgrade somehow. Palmer should be able to bring back something of value and I won't feel too bad since I'm pretty confident that both Bledsoe and Delhomme should have good years. The reason I have 3 QBs is because I'm trying to use Palmer as trade bait. I have a feeling Bledsoe should put up pretty good numbers this year, so I'm not going to drop him for a backup RB. I'm not too high on Jones either, but it was the best choice at my draft spot. I might try to package him with someone else and try to bring in a stud RB. Thanks for the input.
