RD 1(18)-Marquise Lee, USC, WR...personally, I feel has that his production will far outweigh the other WR's. Guy was a top 10 pick last year, suprised to hve seen him drop so far. Beckham is still raw and Cooks is more Jermey Kerley (slot) than an outside threat IMO. RD 2-Trade up for #40 (Vikings) and give up #49 and first two fourth round picks. DRAFT: Dee Ford, OLB, Auburn: Jury is still out on Coples, our pass rush must improve. I like Ford as a player, must clear medical history up. Rd 3(73): Bashaud Breeland, CB, Clemson. Stud corner, still a bit raw (junior), but ton of potential. Rd 4 (137): Victor Hampton, CB, South Carolina. Legal issues, but potential is there. We need CB's bad. Rd 5 (154): Max Bullough ILB, MSU: Depth pick for ILB. Rd 6 and 7...whoever!
Not really a fan of trading up, I also doubt Ford is available at that spot. His stock has risen significantly.
Yea, I shoul've said if he drops. Maybe he will be around early rd 2? If higher our third will have to go.
Anything can happen at the draft. I know a lot of people say "there is no way so and so will be available there" or "you're picking that guy way too high" and I don't really subscribe to that line of thinking. It's unpredictable and there are always surprise picks and guys that fall way further than anticipated. So it's entirely possible Dee Ford will fall that far but it's also possible he's a top 15 pick.
Good point^ let's just ackowledge my general theory then...we trade up in the 2nd at some pt for ford.
I would down with Lee probably the most complete WR in the draft. I wouldn't trade up for Ford (doubt he will still be there anyway). We need a TE somewhere in this draft. Like the two corners but Breeland is moving up in the draft.
The Mike T approach is trade 3 picks to move up in the first. this is a scaled back verison I guess.. And I didnt put a TE in because I think we can live with Cumberbund for one more yr, granted we add a WR here. Maybe Fedorwicz in rd 4 somehow? Regardless, just save it for next year..
