12 team league Starting lineup: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, Flex, K, 3 IDP's QB- Tony Romo RB- Jamal Lewis RB- Thomas Jones WR- Chad Johnson WR- Greg Jennings TE- Dallas Clark Flex- Deangelo Williams K- Rob Bironas CB/S- Adrian Wilson DL/LB- Lofa Tatupu LB- Paul Posluszny Backups: QB- Eli Manning RB- Ahmad Bradshaw RB- Brandon Jackson RB- Felix Jones WR- Vincent Jackson WR- DJ Hackett Whatcha think? I think my starting lineup is considerably strong considering it is a 12 team league. I like Eli Manning as a back up even though he isnt going to post numbers like Romo. Jamal Lewis is on a stacked offense with a beast oline. Vastly underrated in my opinion. Thomas Jones for obvious reasons. Greg Jenning actually fell to me in round 6 and didn't think I could pass him up there. Chad Johnson, while he is an asshole, can be a game breaker. Dallas Clark is a #1 TE for sure and gets a lot of looks in the redzone.
Who the hell did you pick in the first round???? This Draft looks good, exept, you miss a first round pick!
Well I won my first league championship last year so I had the 12th pick this year. Tony Romo 1st round (12th overall) Jamal Lewis (13th overall) Players who were available: Larry Johnson Willis McGahee Peyton Manning Ryan Grant
wait you took Romeo over Peyton? what the hell is wrong with you? Kellen? But to be honest, I like the Lewis pick, if those are your Rb options, why not? the browns are likely to be in scoring positions for him to get goal line looks, unlike the other 3 squads...
There are 3 factors that went into me taking Romo ahead of Peyton: 1- Peyton is recovering from surgery even though it was a minor procedure. 2- Romo scored more fantasy points than Peyton by quite a bit last season. 3- Indianapolis' schedule is brutal. (NE, SD, PITT, JAX 2x, TENN 2x, CHIC, GB) Manning is the better QB, Romo is the better fantasy QB.
No but seriously, that team's pretty stacked. I just had my first 12 team league and I'm not a fan of my team at all. I guess I'll make a post for people to make fun of what I ended up with haha.
I'd agree, but Romo has no questions around him about whether he can do it right now except for "can he repeat what he did last year". We know Peyton's going to perform well if he's healthy, but that's looking like a pretty good question right now. As for Romo, he's healthy, the scenery around him hasn't changed, and so far so good. Personally, I probably would end up going with Peyton, but there's no question Romo has a shot of outperforming him again. But that's still just a shot...to me Peyton's #1 QB if he's healthy (yes, over Tom Brady).
Didn't want to start new thread...Im having difficulty in week 1: QBS: Favre, Garcia (start 1) RBS: Addai, T.Jones, B. Jacobs, M. Turner (can start 2 and 1 as a flex) TE's: Shockey, Keller (start 1) WR: Edwards, A. Gonzalez, D. Mason, L. Sweed (need 2) Defense: Dallas I am having a problem with which 3 rbs i go with. I overdafted RBS, but I can start 2 and 1 as a flex. Kinda screwed at wideout. Which 3 backs do I go with, which 2 receivers? Also, I planned on going Favre, but would you consider Garcia at all?
As of 8/21, I'd start Addai, Jacobs, and Turner in Week 1. Turner might put some good numbers on Detroit's ass. Edwards, Gonzalez, and Mason is a good group of WRs. I'd go with Edwards and Gonzalez on a regular basis.
