    This is just Rd 1

Just my opinions of the best and worst players in Rd 1 from 2007's draft.

    WW85's Best of 2007's 1st Rd draft:

Joe Thomas..........Great addition to the Browns, plays like a vet. Played better than I expected.
    Adrian Peterson......Not much to say.....ORY
Patrick Willis........Was one of my can't miss players.
Darelle Revis.....has played with confidence, and a starter since late Sept.
Dwayne Bowe.......Had D.B. in one of my Jet's Rd 1 mocks at #25

Just Missed.......Marshawn Lynch, Leon Hall & Jon Beason.

    WW85's Worst of 2007's 1st Rd draft:

Gaines Adams.......Has played better the last few games/still statred very slow.
    Jamaal Anderson........not worth a #8 selection.
Ted Ginn Jr..........Enough said.....Not a polished Receiver, alot to learn.
Lawrence Timmons......Doesn't Pitt wish Revis wasn't taken a pick earlier??
Craig Davis..........A Huge Reach/my worst pick in rd 1..... 149 yds 1 TD

Way to early to call Gaines a bad pick. Remember a little guy called Mario Williams? Didn't do that good rookie year, and look at him now. Hindsight is 20/20, lets wait another year or two to look back on this years class

My thread isn't about next year or a year from now......it's a 2007 as of week 16. It's the best/worst players so far this year from the the 1st Rd.

No doubt Glenn.......... Quite a few final Mocks in late April had Harris projected to go late Rd 1.

Many people including Kiper had Harris going to the Pats with the 28th pick.

Solid list WW85 but I think one guy has to get some love on the list

Amobi Okoye of Houston. Without him, Mario wouldent have this beast of a year because Okoye has done such a solid job at clogging the middle. For a 20 year old, hes been such a stud.

Anthony Gonzalez has played a huge role this year in Indy with Harrison out. Very nice rookie year.

I like Ted Ginn Jr, but Brady Quinn should have been picked there. Ginn has done a decent enough job in Miami though.

I can add Brendan Merriweather to that bad list, he dropped a few gimmie INTs and has not done much at all. Maybe he can do something in the future since I think he can be useful but not a good rookie campaign for him.

Couldn't vote him Best or Worst....didn't play enough significant time.

I can't agree that Ginn has done a decent job........I have watched his route running and he needs work and has dropped numerous passes. His return abilitiy is good, but that's not worth a High #1.. I can't vote for either way on Brady Quinn....no body of work. I only put in the players who played significant time.

Tangini looks pretty good on this one. Harris is the kind of beast that usually plays against the Jets' & we wish Jets' had him. ets' are actually drafting pretty good players, but need to focus on there needs a bit better.

Nice list and certainly Joe Thomas like Nick Mangold who could have been ORY if they actually gave the award to more than QB's, RB's or WR's. IMO Peterson while a very very good RB is greatly benefited by a great OL while Thomas is the great OL
