Here's my actual Jet's draft against 31 other GMs. It took over 2 weeks like our TGG 7rd draft.

This draft took place, on another Message Board, before Free Agency in early March.

Gholston & Mcfadden were gone to St Louis & Oakland with picks 2 & 4.

I had an extra Rd 7 pick, guess we didn't think we were going to lose Minny's to Oakland for Hamilton.

I thought I did pretty well. Comments appreciated.

    Rd1) Jake Long, OT, Michigan
    Rd2) Cliff Avril, DE/OLB, Purdue
    Rd4) Lavelle Hawkins, WR, California
    Rd4) Brad Cottam, TE, Tennessee
Rd6) Dwight Lowery, CB, San Jose St
    Rd7) Marcus Monk, WR, Arkansas
    Rd7) Spencer Larsen, ILB, Arizona

Remember before Free Agency!!! Kris Jenkin trade happened in Rd 2. So , I lost Rd 3 & 5.

thats a hell of a draft... especially before free agency. The late round picks would be good additions to the roster. All off them have plenty of upside.

That's one hell of a job you did there.

Marcus Monk in the 7th is one hell of a steal

I guess Cottam is more of a value pick than anything else, but other than that I would be thrilled with this draft. Good job.

    Thanks....JFIPA.

Here's my Warroom thoughts during that draft.....I posted this after the draft.

    NEW YORK JETS

Rd 1.....Jake Long OT......I didn't expect Jake Long to fall to the Jets, I was totally shocked and had to pull the trigger. This was before FA started, but even so, I still would have taken JL.

Rd 2....Cliff Avril, DE/OLB......Again, before the FA.....had to get an edge rusher and Avril would be a nice addition. I was following my board and was going to draft Malcom Kelly with this pick, since he fell into Rd 2, which was crazy, but Kelly went 2 picks earlier.

    Rd 3.....No pick (Jenkin's trade)

Rd 4a...Lavelle Hawkins, WR.....staying true to my board, and BPA with need considered, went with Hawkins. I wanted Goff with this pick, wishful thinking. 15 receivers went before Hawkins, and I had Hawkins as the 7th or 8th best receiver. Hawkins was a late Rd 2 value on my draft board. Leading receiver for Cal with a great group of receivers under Tedford. Looked great at the Senior bowl and Combine. Doesn't have the height, but that will be addressed later.

Rd 4b...Brad Cottam, TE.....I wanted another "True" Pro TE and Cottam fits the mold. I'm certain the Jet's will draft a TE next April and Cottam may be the pick. Cottam is 6'7" and is a good blocker and has good receiving skills, excellent Red zone target. Doesn't have much experience, but is a rising player. Rd 3 value on my Board.

    Rd 5.......No Pick(Jenkin's trade)

Rd 6........Dwight Lowery, CB.....IMO, a HUGE Steal in Rd 6, 4th Rd value. This kid has a nose for the ball and has good size and could develop into a #2 corner. J Leman was the BPA on my board till the Giants drafted him at the end of Rd 5.

Rd 7.....Marcus Monk, WR.....Can't believe he fell to Rd 7, Jet's add a big receiver, will either be a big surprise or a bust. Worth a shot in Rd 7. Monk was also #1 in his graduating class in High School with a 4,0+ GPA. Injuries hurt his stock.

Rd 7.......Spencer Larsen ILB.....Leading tackler in the Pac Ten and a lunchpail type. Ran a disappointing time at the combine, but plays faster. Could eventually find his way into the middle next to Harris. Rd 5 value on my board.

    Undrafted FA:

    1) Jehuu Caulcrick, FB, Michigan St.
    2) Bobbie Williams, S, Bethune-Cookman
    3) Shannon Tevega, OG, UCLA
    4) Ricky Santos, QB, New Hampshire
    5) Darnell Terrell, CB, Mizzou
