True. But shouldnt that gameplan been the same? Shouldnt the Jets have said "let Charlie Frye beat us". Whether it was a shell or not...even if it was...it didnt work. They were the same running plays. Frye did get sacked and hurried when he did try to pass.
As I said I'm at a bit of a loss myself. I'm certainly no expert but I didn't see the Jets doing anything majorly different towards the end then they were doing to start off the game. Maybe the inexperienced/injury riddled Cleveland OLine just broke down by the end? Because in the first quarter they were blitzing 7 and not even breaking through the LOS before Frye was delivering the ball downfield.
