Just noticed while posting that I joined March 10, 2004. That is truly hard to believe. 13 years have flown by. I want to thank all of the people that make this site possible, most of all @Petrozza. It truly is the best Jets message board. I have enjoyed many discussions throughout all of the years here. I have witnessed plenty of drama too. Fun times. Thank you to each of the posters who make the site so great too. Hopefully our Jets can get things going this year, but if not, we have the BS Forum. Heres to another 13 years! Seriously I can't believe it has been that long. Amazing.
I had an unfavorable haircut. Many of the old crew let me know about it. I wish I had that haircut now though as it is starting to thin out.
So, do you get some tonight or is it like a 13th wedding anniversary and you just shake hands and go to bed?
I remember why I joined. The Jets were in the hunt for John Lynch. I kept checking to see if he signed on different websites. One link sent me here. We know the end of the story: The Jets ended up with Reggie Tongue and Doug Brien ruined the season in Pittsburgh. Yet somehow those were the good times!
Great thread, and congrats! I do really like how this board is set up... Just a lot cleaner that the other forums I have seen in terms of presentation. The people seem great too! I joined because it seemed like a solid combination of talking about the Jets and other random subjects in the BS forum.
I love looking at all these old start dates. Its a tribute to TGG.com that we've managed to retain so many of our long time posters! There may be a few of us fossils who joined before 2002 when Petro changed servers. Green Guy and Me came over from the old NYDN Jet Forum aka: Sparta. Congrats TDK! God willing I'll be around another 13 to celebrate with ya! If not, look for me on a boat out of Belmar chasin whatever is running!
