Good, need him at 100% for the playoffs. This groin has been bothering him for a few weeks now he said, and it's no surprise that in the same time frame he hasn't been pitching as well.

That sucks. I guess if it's going to happen at any time, at least it's now. We really need him this year at the end.

So who is in our rotation now? RJ, Wang, Wright, Lidle, and ? That Karstens kid? I didn't see the game last night, so I have no idea how he looked.

I guess it's good we got to bring in some bullpen help. If Villone and Proctor don't stop pitching every day, we are going to have real problems.

Last I remember hearing mid-September. It doesn't matter. At this point, I can't see him helping us down the stretch. He has been out of the game for over a year. He may as well take the rest of this one off, and come into Spring Training next year healthy, or get the **** out of town.

They are doing it to be very cautious... if they were down or up by a game or so, Mussina would not be on the DL.

But since we have a comfotable 6.5 game lead, we can be without him for a few starts and get him rested up for the stretch and playoffs.

SIDE NOTE: Ponson cleared Waivers, and is now a FA. A team with major pitching problems could pick him up (Mets, possibly)

well, not major, but they have some issues lately. Pedro could use some rest, Glavine is out for a couple starts, you only have 1 of your opening day starters.... I was just throwing it out there.

Now lets now turn this into a Mets thread, GO YANKEES!

Fair enough... but we're a long way from needing Ponson.

Thank God, the Mets seem to be far away from needing either Lima Time or Ponson.
