Brick cannot play RT. I wish you guys would stop suggesting him for RT. He is not a good enough run blocker. The RT needs to be more of a road grader type like Damien Woody.
Why would we want Cumberland to stay even if Amaro stays healthy and develops into a reliable blocker and TE (which is debatable)? Cumberland has givenus nothing and is paid too much. He needs to go.
Exactly why I've had to chuckle a lot this past week with so many posters talking about what a great team we have, how we should beat Buffalo easily, how we had a chance to go somewhere in the playoffs this year, and how we choked. The problem is we still have a lot of holes and dead weight on the roster. None of the players mentioned in this thread helped the team much at all this year, and some hurt us with their play.
Quite obviously, not everybody can grasp the rather simple concept that, NOT EVERY OFFENSIVE LINEMAN HAS SAME RESPONSIBILITY. You know - for instance, LTs are more valued for their nimble feet to withstand the bull rushes, and agility to avert the speed rushers than, say RT. LT's top priority is pass blocking. You know, these simple things.
Quigley Ridley Winters Cumberland Milliner Geno Cro McDougle Pace Davis Brick Bullock Stacy All of them are upgradable or a wasted spot. Wish we had more money to spend like this past offseason. :/
I'd have to go with Kerley although I'm not sure how much of it is actually his fault. Need to upgrade ST BAAAAAAAAADDDDD!
McDougle, Shaq Evans, Quigley obviously, Calvin Pace, Millner, Ridley. Get rid of all them pronto. If I have to watch one more guy run around Pace on the edge, it's just disgusting. These guys are all dead weight. Get guys in here who want to compete. How Quigley has a job in this leage is a joke.
Quigley by far. He has screwed us in the field position game more times than I care to remember this season, INCLUDING yesterday. Special teams in general were terrible this year. At no point did they even bring in competition for him. That has really irked me all season.
Just a reminder that Zach Sudfeld is still on the roster. He would have cbeen an upgrade over Davis and Cumberland in the passing game. Moreso, he was a pretty good ST contributor and his loss was felt there all season.
Also on the list is Demario Davis and Steven Ridley Ridley really didn't do much all season, he dances too much and falls forward for 2 yards, yet gets the start yesterday???? Waste of $2 mil. And did anyone notice Davis do his STUPID crane pose when he made the tackle with the clock running down under 1:30?!?! Have some friggin game awareness man! Be a professional! Why are you self-promoting when the team is down and the defense has played bad all game? I hope they don't resign him. He misses too many tackles, over-pursues too often, and does the Kyle Wilson thing where he makes a useless play then does a dance. Can't stand it.
I can't vote for Milliner--he's just a wasted roster spot, he doesn't actively contribute to the team's failures. Quigley, on the other hand actively makes puts our offense, defense, and special teams in a measurably worse position every time he steps on the field.
lmao...you made a thread to throw shots at the 5th maybe evven 6th CB on our roster that's basically in his rookie season? You're the McIdiot. I think the most useless jet was already waived... Coples.
Once again a thread where different posters are using different metrics. But for me the player who most got on my nerves this year, and that will be my metric, has to be Demario Davis. Given his draft status, while not a fist day pick, he nonetheless has been on the team long enough that it is reasonable to expect better play from him. But imo and this is quite an achievement when you have people like Winters and Giacomini it remains that Davis was the worst starter on the team. He was not only worthless in taking up a roster spot, and I get why people mention Milliner in that regard. But Davis was out there for snap after snap, and played badly. I thought it was not for nothing, not a coincidence, that the Jets five game winning streak roughly corresponded to a decline in Davis's snap count. He's gotta go. I suppose Quigley would be my second place finisher here, but Davis takes the award.
This will be a big offseason for me, when it comes to judging Macaganan. Quigly can not be the Jets punter next year. He shouldnt even be in the NFL. Obviously there were a multitude of culprits last game, but that first quarter just felt like we were put in a hole because we could never change field position to even somewhat benefit us.
