..a complete lack of discipline and mental toughness. The 14 penalties , the punch during our return .. false starts .... holding etc We gave up so much field position its scary. Seems Rex needs to get some fines going!!! The punch by Murrell was brain dead to be polite
yeah a shitload of penalties and injuries. Always points to the CS. That's one thing mangini had going for him. He knew how to create robots. Rex creates savages. Now if someone could create savage robots, you'd have something.
LOL- funny post, but true. That exactly what we were talking about in our lovely ride home, with Mangini we were the least penalized team in the league. I think Rex got the so hyped up after that Miami game they just wanted to bite people and kick em in the head.
Yep. Sometimes a fine line between aggressive and just plain stupid. Almost all of the penalties the Jets committed yesterday fell clearly in the stupid category. We are becoming the Oakland Raiders.
i didnt pay to much attention but i thought i heard them say ihedigbo did it in return to what someone else did to him... but i agree one of my favorite stats was that the jets were usually one of the least penalized teams in the league, we would lose but at least we followed the rules
What is worse is that the team didnt respond to this game being a must win. Rex doesn't have the team disciplined. This team certainly can talk shit but has no heart. You saw it coming apart with Jenkins saying this team needs to shut up and yet some players still ran their mouths. Now their heart of the defensive side has been ripped out. Let's see what happens now
The penalties were getting nauseating by the end of the game. Other than Jenks being out, this is definitely what I am worried about when it comes to this team. Too many drive killing penalties for us on O, and too many free yards on D. We need to make a statement next week against Oakland and punch them in the mouth.
Murrell did not throw the first punch, but it's always the retaliation that gets flagged. I can kind of understand.... someone punches you in the head, you punch back. Murrell got caught.
Ihedigbo actually got flagged for it, which is the saddest part of all. He didn't even throw a punch. Hopefully he won't be the fall guy for the whole situation.
Bill Belicheat has created savage robots, I don't root for them ever but they play with discipline and aggressiveness Sorry I did not see the post already making the same comment I did.
It seemed like it was 1st and 15 or worse to start every drive in the OT. That is totally unacceptable when your QB is throwing nothing but quackers. FWIW, it looked to me like BOTH Ihedigbo and Murrell threw punches at a Bills player with no helmet and only Murrell's connected. I have no problem with the refs punishing the guy who failed - kind of fitting.
