Maybe we can merge this with the Terance Mathis thread and have a Mega Why Did We Let That Guy Go Thread.

Moss has been often injured and very inconsistant over the past 3 season. Coles went down the same path. Thier stats and games played over the last 3 years are very similar.

We gave up on Moss because the thought was he would never be a true #1, but more of a deep threat that had limited use as a posession receiver. This is exactly what he proved to be. Chad and Coles always had very good chemistry and proudced very well when both were healthy. 4 years laterr its easy to wonder why if you don't look back on all the fact.

The mistake was letting Coles go in the first place. They would have been sick together.

You like him because he is currently healthy. When he skins his knee, he becomes useless. Similar to Abraham. World of talent but can never stay healthy.

we HAD Moss and Coles on our 02 team. Coles was voted our mvp that year. Our idiot GM tendered Coles with only a 1st round tender and Washington stole him. Oh yeah, Bradway packaged the 1st rounder we got for Coles WITH our own 1st rounder AND our 4th rounder for a real talent--Dwayne (contract, not contact) Robertson.

Santana Moss is the best number two wide receiver in the league right now.

BTW, Santana Moss pulled himself out of a game once because he didn't feel like playing gave his team the best chance to win. How selflessly selfish!

Back then, Moss was a pulled hamstring waiting to happen. Add in that he is primarily a deep threat at a time when our QB didn't have the arm to get the ball deep (quickly) and...
That having been said, never look back. These "What ifs" will drive you nuts.

Really? I can think of at least 5 off the top of my head who I'd have ahead of Moss...I admit he's a good number 2, just not the best.
