Just saw this on CBS Sportsline:

    Randy Moss, WR OAK

News: Numerous sources report that on his weekly Fox Sports Radio spot, Raiders WR Randy Moss wasn't shying away from his disinterest in the team and said he wouldn't mind being traded. "I don't want to be the downfall, or the negative or the cancer of the team," Moss said. "That's definitely not my goal to do. If they feel trading me and getting me out is the best thing to do, I've been traded once, two won't hurt." Moss also admitted that he's not concerned with the team being winless and that he's not the only one unhappy in Oakland.

Definately an interesting senario, I geuss he realizes that the team is in the shitter and it's not coming back anytime during his career. At least he's being polite about it and not just bitching and moaning, shows that he really has matured since his younger days in Minnesota.

not much though, he's still bitching and wants to get out before the trade deadline. Which is almost over I might add.

As a general rule, can we the football knowledgeable posters of this board recuse ourselves from posting on such threads, lest we all emerge from their rubble far less intelligent than we were when we entered?

We don't need Randy Moss. Anyone who thinks so plays too much Madden.

If this was late 90s Moss, I'd be interested. The guy doesn't have passion for the game anymore. It's sad just how far downhill he's come.

would be nice to see Randy & Chad 2gether again....But we really do not need him. Cotchery is the man & there is no room for him. plus I don't think mangini likes his type of character

I understand where Moss is coming from though. He wants to be on a team that has a chance at winning the big one. He realizes he only has a few good years in him and wants a shot at the ring. Nothing wrong with that in my mind.

I second that notion. That's why it's in the NFL thread. I knew there would be 70 posts by now about getting the old Marshall duo back together if it was in the Jets forum.

I actually feel bad for Moss. Being in Oakland has really hurt the guys career. But then I remember all the millions of dollars he makes...

Who wouldn't want to leave Oakland?

Moss just wants to win, I don't see the problem here really...

yeah, hes had his past issues. not that theres an excuse for them. but after watching the TO saga unfold ive forgotten about them. and unfortunately due to him being in OAK, I forgot what Randy Moss really plays like. Looks like he has too.

wish him the best tho, but it wont be coming to him in OAK. thats for sure

i dont think any player, no matter how bad their character is should have to play in oakland

i think inseadt of suspending people they should be forced to play at oakland

"For the stomping of Gurodes face, you, Albert Haynesworth, are sentenced to play in Oakland for 5 games with out pay"

It's not really fair to him either.

See TO is a little bitch, he was actually on a SB caliber team.

When you still have great talent like these guys and you are approaching the last few years of your peak, you want to be some where that offers you the chance to get a ring. It comes down to that. And it's not fair that Moss should have to waste away on the Raiders while they "rebuild". If he was part of the rebuilding process then yes, but he's not.

Yeah, let's feel bad for Randy. He's entitled to dog it in Oakland, it's their fault, not his.

You think Jeter would loaf up the first base line if the Yanks were out of contention? Neither do I. Randy is an immature baby and you can have him for a pair of dirty socks if you're interested.

I also dont get why evceryone feels bad for Moss. Look at the money he makes, eh bitched his way out of Minnesota. hey Randy...you reap what you sow!
Anyways I dont feel bad for anyoen on the raiders, after losing they go back to their multi-million dollar mansions, I feel a lot more for the hard-working guy doing 9-5 trying to feed his kids.

I totally agree with you. I don't think Randy is entitled to become a nuisance and demand his way out of town no matter what the state of the FO/CS. He has been crying since week 1.

Shut up and make some plays, Randy, last I looked you were part of the problem in Oakland.
