Granted we lost this game but I think the Jets showed us more in this game then last week in their win against the Titans. Some things I was proud of seeing:

    - This team NEVER gave up at any point in this game. Perfect example was at the end with Vilma blocking that kick. We are going to play hard from the first minute to the very last. This is a promising sign.

-This team had a good gameplan. We obviously need to find our groove running the ball but we gameplanned well with all things considered.

    - Despite the lose we almost came back. I think because we almost rallied against the Patriots this is going to make the players truly begin to believe in Mangini and his program. They were down 24 nothing at one point and after a few turnovers and breaks their way we were right back into it.

Next week we are going to Buffalo and we ALWAYS struggle there, I expect this upcoming week to be no different. We are going to need to find some type of running game. Chad has proven to me that he truly is back and as good as ever, but you can only makeup for a lack of a running game for so long. The following are some things I'd like to see to make the offense more balanced and as a result better:

-I'd like to see some screens. Both at WR and RB we have the speed at the positions to run these types of plays. The question is can our lineman do what they need to do blocking?

-Counters and tosses. I'd like to see some counters and utilize our speed at RB by at least TRYING the outside. We had a few plays like this but not enough from what I saw. A lot of what I saw was draws and other types of runs right up the middle. I think it's time we try to take advantage of the speed in our backs. It may not work but I at least want to explore this option.

All things considered we are 1-1 and this team has proven to look promising for the future. It's true that we lost this game but I can't help but feel proud of this team. I'm not usually one to go into the woulda coulda shoulda's either but I can't help but mention that if Graham got off a better punt who knows... Ahh well like I said what's done is done. Lets look forward to the Bills guys because I'm sure that's what the players are doing.
