Not to be an ass, because these things take tons of work, and kudos to doing the work. But by favre simply retiring, does not open up the cap space to sign Nanmdi, much less two other viable guys as well. Draft wise, I still havent looked long and hard at the prospects, but for the love of god you committed two cardinal sins, You took a guy who WILL not play this year with your top pick because of Jenks, yes Raji is probably the best NT in the draft, and could be our answer as a backup to Jenks, but you DO NOT go BPA when the guy will be looking at spot duty for the length of his rookie contract. Then on top of it, in the third round you take Raji's partner in crime in Brace. You took two DT's from the same school, if their wasnt playing time for one of them, what makes you think their will be PT for 2? Also if you want depth for the DL as a reason for taking Brace, why take Raji? Second cardinal sin being that you drafted a punter. I hate drafting punters, their are tons of them out there, and it's a waste of a pick which can be used as depth on the lines.
no way raji makes it to 17.noones taking cole and his 7 million guarenteed and you didn't address ilb.other than that i can live with it
it is for the 46 butif raji isnt there we go sanchez yea i would rather have sanchez there im going to change it
Ok, so I stopped reading after your round 2 pick. What I am about to say isn't meant to be mean but to encourage you to work on your process. Raji will not make it past the top ten. Further, Britt is being projected as a late first rounder and with a good combine, probably a bit higher. Asmougha will not go into free agency so easily. He's also going to look for some ridiculous money that we can't offer with Farve on the roster. Farve retiring doesn't make this a shopping spree either, because we still need about 5 million in the bank to sign the draft class, probably another two million after that for next year. That won't leave much to give Asmougha the 8 million a year he will want plus his signing bonus. Next, drafting two DT, a kicker and a FB would probably make every jet fan collectively groan and some would likely quit football or become a Giants fan. We have drastic needs for youth at LG and RT. Ignoring both of those spots would be terrible for this franchise. Jenkins doesn't need Pouha, Raji (in a dream world) and some one else backing him up. You also don't draft a kicker or FB higher than the 6th round unless they're exceptional. Think about all the talent we would be passing up versus what really differentiates kickers and fullbacks before you make your next mock draft. Last, I'd love to get Leonhard from Baltimore but he had a breakout year and a solid run in the playoffs, even with Ryan coaching us I don't know if the Ravens would let him go too easily. Could be a bidding war. Who knows. Well, those are my notes.
if not gano then we can get some one but i think he is really good ilb would only be harris in the 46 whichwe might implement i think we should harris is an animal and yea coleman will be gone
we're not gonna run the 46 exclusively.we;ll probably stay in the 3-4 base with pace coming down to the line on occasion to mix the fronts.if we don't sign scott or dansby an ilb is top priority imo
When he signed the tender last offseason I believe there was a stipulation that said he couldn't be franchised again.
Well as far as FB goes, T-rich is good for another year. Besides I believe we have his replacement on the PS in Jehuu Caulcrick, but that is neither here nor there at this point, as he just isnt ready yet. Also Sanchez is even less likely to be around than Raji. I have seen plenty a mock where he goes #3 to KC or to San fran already. I really think our first pick needs to either go to our secondary, or our linebacking corps. Since we are stuck with Gholston, i believe Ryan will try to coax out the potential in him, and he will go secondary with our first pick. unless of course some rediculous thing occurs with an offensive guy dropping. Like say if Crabtree breaks his leg in workouts or if Matthew Stafford gets a 10 on the wonderlic and Sanchez bypasses him, and he pulls a brady quinn. Regardless i still would rather go secondary with our first pick at this point.
I'm very high on Jehuu, but there is no way he's a blocker in the class of Tony. I hope we give Jehuu a shot in 09. He was cut, but resigned recently.
