    Round 1
4th pick Mario Williams DE North Carolina State - While I understand that most fans want a big name offensive player at this pick I think that getting a 21 year old who can play DE in a 3-4 or in a 4-3 would be a building block for the defense. This guy is 6 6 285 and could probably put on some weight. When I look at the drafting of Mangini's mentors I see front 7 defensive players taken year after year. Mario Williams is a freak of nature running a 4.6 40 at this size. Also the jets are going to need a RE to replace Abraham. My one concern is that the Titans take him at 3.

1st round: 22nd pick One of the big tackles, Mcneal, Winston etc...

2nd round: 3rd pick Manny Lawson DE-OLB North Carolina State 6'4" 230 4.55 40. This guy is a freak of nature and could be a perfect weak side linebacker in a 3-4. If he puts on 15 pounds he could be a Joey Porter type who can rush the passer, defend the pass and stuff the run. While it's possible he may go higher then this (Pittsburgh or Indy) if he's there at this pick he would be solid.

3rd round: Two picks one for compensation
    1) Joseph Addai LSU RB 5 11 210 4.41 Good all around back, excellent speed, does everything well. I'm not sure he'll make it this far but I expect him to be drafted late 2nd early 3rd.

    2) Jason Spitz C 6'3" 305 5.16 Lousiville. Spitz is a versatile interior lineman with good fundamentals. I don't see any reason to take a Center in the first two rounds.

    4th round: 2 picks 1 for herm
    1) Daryn Colledge OT Boise State 6'5" 291 4.93 If this guy was bigger he would be drafted much earlier in the first day. Seems like a versatile player who can be a guard or Tackle. Very strong and quick. Another Patriots type offensive lineman.

    2) Drew Olson qb UCLA 6'3" 223 4.93 Olson is not highly rated coming out of college, he also has a past knee injury to be worried about. But he has a very good arm and has the potential with good coaching to be an nfl qb.

This would give us from the first 4 rounds 3 o-lineman for the future, 2 front 7 defensive players a qb to develop and a good all around running back. Since it's so important to develop a team from within the lines, this would be a good start to putting this team back on the right path.

Why not? We have the third pick in the 2nd round, for most teams that don't run a 3-4 he really doesn't have a position. I'd be willing to take him with the 2nd first round pick. But this place would blow up if we took two defensive players in the first round.

That is a very optimistic draft.

I wouldn't draft another OT in the 4th.
