Well this will be my third mock of the offseason. I plan to do one more and post it either Friday or Saturday. This one has a few twists and surprises. Look for my "shocker" pick in the 1st round. Don't forget to also read the other teams' drafts past the 1st round since I normally only get feedback on the Jets draft and the NFL first round.

    - Well my shocker pick is made by the team somewhat known for surprising picks... It does fill a major need though.

    - Jay Cutler to #17? Possible I suppose. Arizona does need to give Edgerrin James something to run behind though.

    - Jets go with 2 Offensive Lineman in first 3 picks? Why not? Clement and Teague are 1 year hold-the-fort players and we might as well build up a great offensive line for the future...

    - Lendale White to 64? Well he did show up somewhat out of shape in terms of weight, his body itself and the fact that Jay Cutler did 8/9 more reps of 225 Ibs than a "strong power back." You never know...

    - No secondary for the Jets? Youth is not the problem in the secondary. Both of the starting Safties have had just 1 and 2 years of starting experience. Miller has half a year and Strait just played the Nickel. Dyson and Barrett are both under 28. A veteran Safety could help out though.

    - No playmaking WR? I liked Hank Baskett a lot. He has great size and decent speed. I saw him play a little sometime last season and he made a couple circus catches in the little time I was watching... Check out his review. Looks like a potential steal/sleeper to me. http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/wr/hankbaskett.html

-Feedback appreciated, thanks for reading... And I'm out! :)

-I think NO is set with Mario Williams at #2... I understand and agree that Ferg would be the smarter pick but it seems that everyone, including him (as I heard in an interview today), believes they're going Mario at 2
-No chance Cutler or White fall the far... if Cutler somehow gets past Arizona he won't fall past the Ravens. White is a top 10 talent when healthy and the injury is a minor one so teams in Rd. 2 like the Jets, Broncos, Titans, Eagles, Falcons, Patsies will be all over him.
-Ernie Sims at 9 isn't a "shocker pick." If Huff as gone when the Bills pick they have a choice from a pool of defensive players such as Sims, Bunkley, Williams, Hill, etc.
-Loving the Jets draft; no DBs is great we don't need any (unless there's one late that can PR). What's your plan after drafting 2 DE/LB type guys?
-I use the Broncos in all my GM mock draft and I really don't like their draft... Bing would be the much better pick at 37 and Hali doesn't really fit in a 4-3, and doesn't have the killer speed to make himself survive like Lawson and Wimbley have. Then you get Darryl Tapp at 68 (huge steal btw he'll go in the 2nd round) and their set. Their draft would be much better and much smarter with Jackson, Bing, Klopfenstein, and Tapp.
-Is it just me or did you completely forget Haloti Ngata?

I could see Lendale falling out of round 1, but I can't see him falling quite that far. I think the Jets and Pats would strongly consider him there. Also for teams such as Denver, Philly and Atlanta he would be a great compliment to the finesse backs they currently have. I'd also add Baltimore to the list of potential places since Jamal Lewis is signed for only 1 year and Mike Anderson is 33.

Ngata is one of the guys I look for in every mock draft because I like to see how people rank him... If we trade down I'd be thrilled to have him or Bunkley for our 3-4 NT.

    Mario will go #2.

Whitehurst as the #4 QB in the draft, with Croyle 7th?

    Wroten round 2?

    Fasano over Klopfenstein?

I don't know anything about McCargo, but he's in early-mid round 2. Unless I've just missed him as an early round pick or if he's flown up boards lately, that's high.
