I am just wondering for people who have this game what is up with the baserunning. I was playing the game at a friends house and saw that every time you round a base the guy stops before going to the next base. Did anyone else have this problem or any other ones with The Show. I just don't want to waste my 40$ on a game that has glitches.
I have 2k6 for 360 b/c its the only baseball game for 360. I played the show a couple of times and really liked it. 2k6 has bugs and issues a plenty. pitchers get tired to fast , outfielders all have rocket arms. swings animations look stupid, some players look dead on but most are usually horrible versions of there real life counter part.
Also any MLB THE SHOW players who play online for any system can post the system and their online name so people can play eachother. I'm getting the game soon and I will put my username for ps2 as soon as I set it up.
to stop that, you need to press the runners button and the directional pad to whatever base they would advance before they reach the previous base. Example: if Jeter is triangle, and is running towards first, and want him to advance to second, press triangle and up before he reaches first. I think this is the best baseball game I've ever played to be honest. I love it. I usually get bored by baseball games, but this one has not. It's great. My franchise Yankees are stacked. My lineup is RF - Vernon Wells SS - Derek Jeter 3B - Alex Rodriguez DH - Gary Sheffield LF - Hideki Matsui CF - Andruw Jones 1B - Richie Sexson 2B - Robinson Cano C - Kelly Stinett I don't know why, but Stinnett is pretty sick, he's a good hitter for average. My starters are: Dontrelle Willis, Randy Johnson, Felix Hernandez, Chris Capuano, and Fransisco Liriano. I'm building a young staff. and has anyone noticed Rivera sucks in this game? I don't even have him anymore, I traded him to Houston for Lidge.
Another thing I found is that it is better to have a good defensive catcher than an offensive catcher. This is probably the first time in video game history that it actually pays off to have a good defensive catcher.
