I was thinking about getting this through Time Warner down here. Anyone else have this? How much does it cost? Or am i better off getting the thing they have on MLB.com to watch the yankees?

If you want to watch every game, the mlb ticket is the way to go. If you only watch half the games live, get the internet version. The quality is fair and you can watch the replay if you missed the game

I just have the mlb.com version

I have Comcast up here, and the Extra Innings package costs $189.

I ordered the MLB.com package the past two years, and liked it well enough. It was good just to be able to see all the games. But even with the quality upgrade last year, the picture wasn't that great, especially at larger sizes, and it would get hung up a lot. ETA: I have a broadband internet connection, so it wasn't that. It's just a rather imperfect setup they have.

Since we just bought a new HDTV, I want to switch to the Extra Innings package this year. All of the Yankee games broadcast by YES are offered in HD. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't do it. I don't know much about what other games are offered in HD. Comcast says they carry the games in HD if the local broadcast being used carries it.

I'm looking forward to watching the games in HD. It'll be a big improvement over last year, and much more comfortable in the living room as opposed to in front of this computer.

Thanks for the info. $189 isnt too bad to be able to watch everything including the Yankees in HD. I would have spent that going to a few games anyway if i was still in NY.

    Another good point.

I just went into Time Warner. It's only $160 plus the box. Not bad at all. She said it's not available yet, should be in March sometime.

Type you should just switch to Direct TV so you can also get the NFL Sunday Ticket to watch the J-E-T-S I am also thinking about getting Extra Innings this year.....

It's not just for the Mets but in your case being on the East Coast you could watch the Yankees game and if you wanted to say watch the Twins or Astros. I in most cases will have to Tivo the Mets and watch them later. I gotta be honest though with most games being blacked out here there is nothing worse than lounging around on a Saturday afternoon looking for any baseball game to watch and there is nothing but poker or gymnastics on.
