Ha! Hope he's a Jet in '15. Seahawks considering using Richard Sherman at WR? The Seattle Seahawks' passing game has been struggling -- ranked 30th in the NFL with a measly 191.8 yards per game -- and hasn't breached the 200-yard plateau in any of the past four contests. The struggles have led to queries about what the Seahawks could do to remedy the problem. One idea bandied about has been utilizing corner Richard Sherman -- who played wideout at Stanford -- on offense. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...hawks-considering-using-richard-sherman-at-wr
I'd say they're missing Golden Tate more than Harvin. They won the SB last year with very little contributions from Harvin.
Yep and this was a mistake by the Seattle management. Had they known things would go wrong they would have resigned Tate and cut Harvin last offseason... Instead they stuck with Harvins 10 million dollar contract and let Tate go to Detroit for much less.
What's even worse for Seattle is that Tate said he'd take a hometown discount and they just completely disrespected him with their offer accounting for that discount. Tate is now having the best year of his career and one of the best in the NFL this season. When a player says they'll take less to stay it doesn't mean you slap him in the face for trying to be loyal to your team.
Tate wasn't that good until he had the best wide receiver in the league on the other side of the field. #AlvinHarper
Except he's been awesome when Calvin sat out, and Jeremy Ross the receiver on the other side of the field.
Yeahhh, I agree. Tate is just finally being featured, he's showing that he can be a dependable #1, Seattle just never needed that in their run heavy offense, Tate was wasted there. He's always had the talent, wanted NE to take him pretty badly in 2010. He's having a fantastic year for DET but despite believing that SEA regrets losing him, he'd be having a similar year to the rest in SEA. Nothing special clicked, its just an offense better suited for him right now, with or without Calvin.
I agree with all of the above, but the point I was hopelessly making was that not only did they let Tate go (who imo is more of a pure WR than Harvin) they let Harvin go as well, believing the WR corps they had would just take over, and we can all see how that's worked out. So this is the plan that Seattle has, and supposedly what Idzik pertains too? Very poor judgement.
Poor judgement indeed. And their offense is not that good this year. By letting Tate and Harvin go, they let another Superbowl go imo.
I'm sure Sherman would love it. It would stoke his ego even more. But not if he gets covered. He's no Percy Harvin. Can't stand the guy. How dare he say he's better than Revis.
I was telling someone hes a play I wish the jets went after. Hes kinda like steve smith, who I like as a receiver. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
