Unconvential seems to work for the Jets and particularly Sanchez. I mean we brought in Girardi to teach him how to slide.
Brunell has been a fantastic addition to this team... I understand now why the staff was so keen to bring him on board
Mark Brunell is old, can't throw anymore and was a huge mistake by Tanny. Yes, he may have helped Mark (the other one) to escape from sacks, yes he may have helped Mark to keep it cool after he makes a mistake or two, yes he may have improved our franchise QB, but that's what coaches are for. We lack depth in many areas... think about it, if Brunell wasn't wasting a roster spot, we could have already signed Reed.
Mark Brunell was brought here to mentor Sanchez, not lead us to a SB victory. His contributions to Sanchez's development will prove invaluable when all is said and done. Lets face it, Clemens wasn't going to teach Sanchez anything he didn't already know...
I think that without being on the inside, it's impossible to know how much Brunell has brought to Sanchez's development and how much is just natural development as a sophomore. Whatever the truth is, what they're doing appears to be working.
Mark Sanchez was on 1050 AM (ESPN New York Radio) and was gushing the whole time about Brunell helping out this season. Nearly called him coach Brunell. They might have the segment online somewhere..
Any chance that they thought Sanchez is a Pinata? Yeah had to throw in that gratuitous Mexican joke.....sorry
