From the Jets homepage, Silva is back and he and Jamie Thompson are off to NFL Europe. King was cut which kind of surprises me, I thought he had some upside. He played well for the Admirals last year but was hurt in the title game so maybe the injury was pretty significant....

    Jets Make Two Roster Moves

The New York Jets announced the following: The Jets have signed WR Phil Silva to a Reserve/Future contract; the Jets assigned Silva and S Jamie Thompson to NFL Europa; the Jets waived OG Michael King from the NFL Europa Exempt/Injured list. The announcements were made by General Manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Silva, originally signed by the Jets on June 9, 2006 before being cut July 31, was a four-year wide receiver at Division III Rowan College in New Jersey, where he caught 22 touchdown passes.

Thompson was signed to the Jets? active roster off the practice squad on Dec. 10, 2006 and played in three games for the Jets before being put on injured reserve.

Silva is the ninth player the Jets have signed to a Reserve/Future contract. The other signed players are: DE Darrell Adams, OG Adrien Clarke, CB Alphonso Hodge, WR Frisman Jackson, TE Joe Kowalewski, DT Keyonta Marshall, DT Matt McChesney and DT Zarnell Fitch.

Whoa...bad research by the Jets PR department. It's actually Rowan University, it hasn't been Rowan College since 1996. (Gotta represent the Profs)

Other than that, I'm surprised they bought Silva back, from what I understand, he had a terrible camp last year.

Across the pond? well the London Monarchs are now more for a few years now, and the Scottish Claymores are gone.

The only teams left in NFL europe are 5 german teams and one Dutch team. So its basically NFL Germany now.

We got tired of watching that second rate dross.

We are getting the real stuff now :)
