On August 31, 2020, Ngakoue was traded to the Minnesota Vikings for a 2021 second-round pick and a conditional fifth-round pick. And now they're receiving a 3rd round pick and a conditional 5th round pick? Minnesota got destroyed in this trade because they lost a 2nd, just to receive a 3rd? lol and it will be a low 3rd round pick due to Baltimore Ravens being a true contender @ 5-1. • The Vikings original 2nd round pick would have been top 5 of the 2nd round. Now? • The Vikings 3rd round pick will become 25th-30th of the THIRD ROUND. Minnesota got destroyed with this one.
By making this trade they're acknowledging their mistake and a need to rebuild versus compete in the interim.
The mistake the Vikings made was going crazy in free agency a few years ago which always comes back to destroy your team a few years later....I wonder where all those give Kirk Cousins 35 mil a year Jets fans went?
If MN has to move on from Cousins after this year, they take a huge $$$ and cap hit. They thought they were going for the SB this year and instead are looking at a Top 10 pick and don't have the draft capital to move into the Top 3 to get a QB.
