From the "Too little; too late" category, Miles Garrett was fined $41,112.00 for his two roughing the passer penalties against the Jets, the second one ending Siemian's season: https://nypost.com/2019/09/21/browns-myles-garrett-fined-for-ugly-hits-on-trevor-siemian/ Actually he could've been flagged on a couple other hits too. But the real problem I have is that he wasn't ejected before that second hit. It was clear that he was looking to take out our QB, despite his denial in the article. As if we need more evidence that the NFL has its values screwed up, allowing players to play in a manner that results in serious injury to other players, is more proof of their lip service about protecting players. And does anyone doubt for an instant that if Garret had hit Brady even ONCE, he would've been ejected, suspended, and hit with a much bigger fine? Bullshit!
I think he definitely did us a favor, but Colorado's point still stands. He should have been ejected at the very least.
True, but he didn't have go balls to the wall each time. And it's not like he isn't known for RTP. He should've been ejected.
I was thinking at the time why there wasn't at least mention of an ejection. Last year I seem to recall the comms teams talking about two personal fouls of being an automatic ejection, just wondering if that has been relaxed - or do backup QBs not count for some reason. You can be damn sure if that was Brady Garrett would have been out of the game.
