He got more face time on HARD KNOCKS than Brian Schotty.....this is multiple games where we are doing a pretty good job through 3+ quarters and then they collapse.

And we're not talking about a collapse against Peyton, Brady, or that caliber of QB. We're talking LOSING TEAMS with average-or-below average QB's.

I wonder if Rex needs to take over the playcalling.

Yea Rex needs to take over the 4th quarter D. It was much better earlier in the year.

No question the defense needs to improve in areas......but i'm not ready to throw Pettine under the bus yet....not even close.

If you educated yourself, you'd know the playcalling is shared by 3 people on defense.

    Pettine, Rex, and DT.

I'm very disappointed with our D. Our pass rush is nonexistent, and we seem to suffer letdowns at critical junctures in every game.

You need a pass rush to have a good 4th quarter D, and we don't have one.

What happened to Gholston? After that pressure/hit, I don't remember seeing him the rest of the game. Did he even play afterwards or was he just a nonfactor?

how does this work? Do offenses play by different rules in the 4th quarter or something?

The late game let downs are very concerning to everyone but it's not like the Jets defensive scheme magically stops working in the 4th, guys just aren't coming through when it matters.

Luckily they have Sanchez and Holmes to pick them up.

I think they got too comfy today. They were up 23-10 and the D just figured they could take the rest of the game off. This D has got to start finishing games or it's gonna be One-N-Done in the playoffs.

We need to draft/trade/acquire new safeties.

Schaub isn't a below average QB, though.

I agree with this. I'd like someone with some size that can keep with TE's and has some decent hands.

    Thanks.

    So....bigger 1st-round priority: Safety or Front 7?

Pass rush is the number one priority......as long as we hang on to Cro. If not then we'll need a better safety first.

Looks like the defense was tired after 3 quarters

Yeah we really need an OLB and NT big time I'll go as far as saying NT should be number one on the list if we can get a good one at our draft spot whatever it is, probably 32nd pick.

Hopefully we can find a solid Safety in FA for cheap, or get one for a low round pick, that would be a godsend.
