https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.c...routinely-skipped-team-meetings-for-massages/ Looks like we dodged a bullet. I see nothing but passion from Adam Gase.
Well, given the choice of getting a happy finish or running through Ha Ha Clinton-Dix’s assignments for the game, I know what I’d do. All in the name of “de-stressing”.
What good is being the boss if you can't slip the massage therapist up to your office through the back stairway?
I had a guy at work who figured out how to process the massage parlor charge so the med insurance would pay. I never got it out of him if that covered the tip.
Can we please withhold judgment until all the facts are in or we at least get a look at the masseuse?
I was in the minority on McCarthy. Aside from these massages we now know of, his playbook was stale, he didn't make adjustments, and he lost his team. I do not and will never get the outrage from fans at the time. Gase is a much better hire.
I thought it was a natural fit, glad it didn’t come through. Looks like the word is out on him. Be interesting to see how much interest he gets next hiring cycle. My guess is none
agreed, apparently Rodgers called him a coach with a low football IQ. However, I think Rodgers is a little salty because McCarthy and the 49ers didn't take him #1 overall. I doubt he gets another job, even as an OC ...
I think McCarthy should get kudos for putting up with the self absorbed a-hole Rodgers for years. Checking out for a message vs putting a gun to your mouth seems pretty reasonable.
I was given flack on the HC hiring thread for dumping on McCarthy, and here is why. Everyone said, "oh, he has a Superbowl ring, let's hand him the franchise!" It's clear from this article he was worth NEGATIVE Superbowls and costs Rodgers plenty, with a legacy that is now about individual achievement rather than team accomplishments. Bullet dodged!
I think I only read about 1/4 of the article, so maybe I missed it, but there was a lot of he said/she said in the beginning. One player said Aaron Rodgers wouldn't let stuff go, the next said McCarthy needed to do more. From what I read, it painted them both in a bad light.
