Some really, really interesting opinions from him based on his preferences.

Adam Carriker and Chris Houston 8 and 9 in his book. You won't find them that high anywhere else. You won't find Houston above Leon Hall anywhere.

Levi Brown 21. That's a good 10 slots below most draft boards and probably at least 10 below where he's going to get picked.

Michael Griffin 31. That half a round below where many people think he belongs. It's probably at least 11 picks lower than he will actually go.

Paul Posluzny 39! Not sure what to make of that other than he doesn't really look like a 1st round pick to me either.

I'm not on board with a lot of these valuations but it sure is interesting to see where people differ in opinions.

Posluszny should be top 20 easily... He's just a real football player.

Penn Staters have made me really nervous since Paterno started slipping.

What i think is crazy, about all that rankings and mock drafts is, that they all have the top CBs ranked in a different way,

    Mike Maylock

    9. Chris Houston Cornerback Houston
    11. Darrelle Revis Cornerback Pittsburgh
    18. Leon Hall Cornerback Michigan
    26. Aaron Ross Cornerback Texas
    33. Eric Wright Cornerback UNLV
    52. Marcus McCauley Cornerback Fresno State

    NFLDraftCountdown

    1. Leon Hall Michigan 5-111/4 193 4.39
    2. Darrelle Revis Pittsburgh 5-111/2 204 4.40
    3. Chris Houston Arkansas 5-97/8 185 4.32
    4. Marcus McCauley Fresno St. 6-03/4 203 4.39
    5. Aaron Ross Texas 6-01/2 193 4.50
    6. Eric Wright UNLV 5-105/8 192 4.36

    Pat Kirwan

    15. Darrelle Revis, CB, Pittsburgh
    18. Chris Houston, CB, Arkansas
    24. Leon Hall, CB, Michigan
    25. Aaron Ross, CB, Texas
    26. Marcus McCauley, CB, Fresno State

    Vic Carucci

    1. Leon Hall, Michigan
    2. Darrelle Revis, Pittsburgh (Underclassman)
    3. Aaron Ross, Texas
    4. Marcus McCauley, Fresno State
    5. Chris Houston, Arkansas (Underclassman)

and this a just a few.

There gotta be some Busts among this Guys, to me it seems to be a very very high risk to draft corner in round 1, cuz u never know what u get.

I would like to open a Thread on this, but i don?t have enough posts. Maybe someone else thinks this needs to be dicussed, too, and can open a Topic

It is kind of crazy the differences of opinion this year. Mayock and Nawrocki see Chris Houston as either a top 10 pick or a mid 2nd rounder. That's just nuts. The person he reminds me the most of is Marcus Coleman, which is the main reason I don't want to draft him in the first round,

Chris Houston is nothing like Marcus Coleman, if anyone is it is Darrelle Revis. Chris Houston is by far the best cover corner in the draft, and fits in the best in our mixed coverage schemes. He held Dwayne Jarrett, Robert Meachem, and Dwayne Bowe to a combined 14 catches for 168 yards and 1 touchdown! Against Leon Hall and Aaron Ross Ted Ginn Jr had 8 catches 104 yards 1 TD, and 5 catches 97 yards 1 TD respectively. The knock on Chris Houston is his ability against the run, but if you ever saw him as a gunner on punt coverage he can definately tackle in the open field. Leon Hall is a good cover-2 corner prospect but simply does not fit our scheme. Darrelle Revis is really a hit or miss guy. He may have run a fast 40 time, but watching him in film he looks slower than he times because he is a bigger, taller corner who is a long strider. Is is far better in press coverage than man. Aaron Ross is a solid all around corner but is harder to evaluate since he played very well but only started for one year.

Coming out of college Coleman was also seen as a good man to man defender with issues against the run. He was seen as a hard hitter who was prone to over-commit and get burned now and then on a missed tackle. He was seen as a potential workout warrior with poorer actual play potential than he showed in his workouts.

That describes Houston almost to a T.

Physically they're a bit different but the skills are very very similar.

nfldraft countdown has carricker going 6 to washington
so you are wrong when you say you dont see him higher anywhere else

Poz noone knows what he can play and what system read every report. its actually funny its like every mock expert ate shit
for the 3-4 noone has a clue what he can do

levi brown? last yr the 2nd best tackle was a projected in the 1st rnd in every mock draft I saw(over 50) and well he went 2nd rnd. I think brown will get picked before 15 though

CB rankings are crazy. noone has a clue

I think this draft is crazy noone knows who is going 1 2 3
so this will be a crazy start I think there will be alot of suprises

BUT I dont see anything crazy about the points that were brought up cause noone has a clue right now

just remember if a "mock draft" had the Bills picks 06

we would be laughing we I am still laughing at the McCargo pick WTF
but Whitner looks like he will be a player
