It's not really that ridiculous. The team looks horrible dude. It looked horrible for stretches under Gase as well, but damn, that was back to back special kinds of ugliness where not any one facet of the team looked good. Long snapping looked ight? Ammendola looked good when he filled in punting for Mann?

It's some ugly football out there.

The first two years of his Jets tenure were fun for sure, but when he got more of his players onto the roster, the team became mediocre to bad. And teams haven't pursued him since he got canned by the Bills. That should tell Mike something.

Yeah I really don't get this thing where Jets fans get upset with other fans calling clear garbage what it is.

We suck. No two ways about it. We suck worse than a lot of us expected us to suck. We yet again have the worst and most unwatchable offense in the league. Time is a flat circle. When the team gives me reasons to be positive I'll be positive. Not going to put lipstick on a pig.

It's been yet another season where every single other team looks noticeably more competent than us except maybe the Bears. We don't currently have an NFL offense, for what feels like the millionth year in a row. It's just baffling at this point. You'd think by sheer luck we'd eventually look like an NFL team but apparently not.

The defense "looking good" is also a bit of an exaggeration. Teams are in no hurry to take chances to score points. The three teams we've played have just dinked and dunked their way down the field and settled for punts with a smile knowing we can't score.

I mean the defense has looked fine I guess, but it's not like they're out there dominating.

My standards must be low but I don’t think we’re that bad or far off from being competitive. We just reek of new. This newness unfortunately is at all the key spots (i.e., HC, OC, QB, WR1…etc….etc.).

Shut up Mike, remember blowing timeouts non stop due to 12 men being on the field, who can forget him thinking he can get players to cooperate regardless of their history ( Holmes ).
Losing games without a touchdown and continually hearing at the post game press conference Mark gives us our best chance to win.
His offense was so bad people were pleading for the Jets to play Matt Sims, Rex was and still is a joke.
Oh yeah remember playing Sanchez in the 4th quarter of a pre season game against and with everybody who was going to get cut 2 days later and his shoulder getting ripped apart.
My all time favorite dumping Cotchery for Derek Mason.
Who can forget his input on those defensive first round picks non stop on total busts.
    SHUT THE ———— UP MIKE

I will say Greeny should be eternally shamed for trying to convince Lawrence to avoid us had we gotten the #1 overall pick last year.

IMO that was a legitimate argument before we got rid of disGrASE. He was actually dangerous to our players such as playing Mekhi with a bum shoulder.

He also took a great Buffalo Defense and turned it into a laughing stock which is one of the reasons he was fired from the Bills job.

Not sure what Rex would do with this offense. He had the luxury of an existing, higher performing OL when he was here.

Mike Greenberg is another reason why I have no regrets about never watching ESPN.

Yeah you’re right Urban Meyer is doing so much better. Dude won’t last 2 years in the NFL

    Rex is a step backwards

Maybe Saleh gets replaced but I would go for another experienced HC ...who's available?

Bill Cowher would be good but he's too busy commentating on shows

No more coordinators maybe..get someone like Rhule who had HC experience on college level

Before anything ..let's see if we get a better OC for the 50th time and Saleh goes for that over LaFleur friendship

This is also on Douglas that we are messed up

It’s not criticizing the team that got my goat, it’s bring up the likes of Rex and Gase to make his point. Neither, ever, to be HC material again. How quickly we forget their fuck ups.

Greenberg has spent years saying stupidly over-the-top positive things about the Jets that he doesn't even believe (just to be the "hot take" guy) that he now he has to change it up and say stupidly over-the-top negative things, since the positive ones are too ridiculous even for him. I have hated for many years that he is the supposed "official" Jets fan when he's mostly an idiot.

Reality is that so far we are averaging 6.7 point game. Think about this - and this is in the offensive minded NFL, not the one from two decades ago. So, when Greeny says he missed Adam Gase, it's not an understatement, since Adam, as incompetent as he was, put up 15.2 ppg. That was the worst in the League by far, but still two and a half times better than what the current offence is producing. Our rookie QB is on pace to take more sacks than David Carr and is getting pressured all the time.

Now I do hope things will turn around and wouldn't bring Rex in just yet, but can you blame any Jet fan for fuming the way Greeny did after what we have witnessed so far, especially after being given some hope that comes with the change this off-season?
