Did his analysis & came up with a 6-10 for this year. Golic said 5-11

Those are very realistic predictions, but due to our improved team from last season, as well as easier schedule over last year, we could easily go 7-9, 8-8.

It is a rebuilding year this is expected, it is going to take more than 1 year to fix the garbage that Herm & Bradway created here

There are too many ifs to easily go 7-9, 8-8. You don't know how the defense is going to react to the new system. The offense is way too green to get 7 or 8 wins.

Things in the NFL never work out the "right way", but honestly 6-10 is a fair prediction, whatever....i just hope the season is entertaining if this is indeed going to be a losing, rebuilding year

We've improved on offense or at least stayed the same at every single position except fullback. Also, even though we lost Abraham and Law on defense, we got back all of our injured players and picked up considerable depth everywhere except DT. We picked up a coaching staff which appears to be a considerable upgrade over Sperm and Co. We hopefully have an offense now that won't play for the punt or the field goal but will rather attempt to move the chains. There is no way that losing Abraham and Law is enough to make us that worse of a team.

    different day..... same championjets69.

you sound like a broken record, Jets fans have a right to be optimistic about the chances of their team. Thats what fans do in August. do you predict all this doom and gloom so that you can say I told you so? Whats the point? Do you think you will change other posters opinions after you enlighten them?

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but ease up a bit, its still August.

I can see taking Golic's opinion but I am not interested in someone's opinion who is smaller than the actual ball being used.

That is true. There are a lot of big IFs, but in my opinion we are just that much better of a team than last season. Last season we managed to somehow win four games, almost 5 if not for a missed Nugent field goal vs. NO, and that was with every possible thing that could've gone wrong going wrong. Last season was probably the worst "disaster" season the Jets have had in over 10 years. When the Jets were under Kotite he couldn't coach them out of a paper bag and they plain sucked, last season we got hit as hard as we've ever been hit with the injury bug, and at that point of all Herm's tricks had grown stale. The team is healthy now, they are rejuvenated, they've got a new coach who is working their ass off and leading them in the right direction. Maybe 8 wins is too much to expect, but there is no way we are worse than last year.

Dont try to change champ his hate for this team will be here until the day he dies. We could win a super bowl and he would find something wrong. There are some people who only see the bad in things.

Let's send you over to talk to Osama. Maybe he would feel sorry for us and stop plotting our destruction after meeting you

    Absolutely not!!

my point was that you are supposed to be a Jets fan!! How much enjoyment could you possibly get from the team you root for, if in August, your opinion of the team is this low?

Call me crazy, but I like to think that at this time of year, Woody, the CS, the players and the fans should all be huge believers that we have a shot at winning it all. If not, it just seems to be a self defeat, at least wait until the opponents stick it to you before giving up.

Sorry I do not buy into your thinking. I do a analysis of the team from the time last season ended continuing updating it & what that analysis tells me is just what I say. Being a hoper & dreamer does U no good. Being realistic at least prepares you for the ugliness that is about to unfold. Also to me a successful seaosn after 37 years of NOTHING is a CHAMPIONSHIP. Nothing less then a CHAMPIONSHIP would make me happy.
