Round 1,29 - Everson Griffen, OLB/DE USC---- He'll be a situational pass rusher who can play in Rex's diverse scheme. He won't see a lot of time, but just enough to get his feet wet. I do not expect him to have the day 1 success we are used to out of our 1st rounders. He's going to need time to grow. We've been spoiled since 06.

Round 2, 61 - Cam Thomas DL UNC
---- We all agree he won't be there, but my trusted site, NFLDraftScout, still has him in the 2-3 round range.... so I take him at the end of round 2. UNC's DL has produced a ton of big dudes who can clog lanes. Thomas is looking to be one of the better ones.

Round 4, 124 - Mike Johnson OG/T/C Alabama ---- Alabama's OL leader. He paved the way for Mark Ingram and can play multiple positions on the line. High motor guy who kicks ass. Callahan can turn him into a starter in two years, maybe less.

Round 6, 198 - Nolan Carroll CB Maryland ---- The dude broke his leg, and still ran a 4.37 40 once fully healed. Take a flier on him. He can play special teams. Westhoff would like that speed. 6 foot, 200 lbs... 4.37. I'm sold.

Round 7, 236 - Mickey Shuler TE Penn State ---- We have to. He's got a bloodline to this team, and will do fine as a depth player. Let him play Special Teams too. The kid loves football.

ALL of my prospects are big motherfuckers.... why you ask? Because rex ryan likes big motherfuckers.

How would you feel about this draft, my TGG brethren?

Love rounds 1,2,4,7, don't know much about 6. I will be estatic if the draft works out this way. Only way it could possibly be better is if Graham somehow drops to us.

I don't know how I feel about Griffen. On one hand I think he has all the talent in the world and trust that Rex can get the best of him. On the other, I don't really see him as a fit with our D. I'm kinda mixed on Griffen, would much prefer Kindle.

With the way the draft looks to be shaping up, I would bet money that McCourty is our first pick. I think we will see Rex and Westhoff begging for him on draft day.

Nice job Mick...Round 2-7... great selections.

Everson Griffen will function better in a 4-3 defense. I don't see EG thriving as a 3-4 OLB.

I'm one of those who thinks Griffin could thrive in Rex's 34 D, as a Terell Suggs type player. So I love that pick. Cam Thomas probably wont be there, but there is always a chance. Love the Mike Johnson pick, not sure he will be there, but still love that pick.
