Too bad he sucks as a WR, doesn't seem overly excited about moving there, and doesn't have much upside as it is.

I'd much rather have Brad Smith if we went that way.

He doesn't have anywhere near the natural talent Randel El had to play WR.

From a Penn State fan I believe he is best suited at S, where he's got the potential to start someday. He's not good enough to be a pro WR though...

I'd much prefer Brad Smith out of Missouri.

Brad Smith (6-2, 212) at the Combine...
    40 Time-4.46 (3rd among QBs)
    Ball Speed-Peak/Catch 55/10 MPH (2nd among QBs)
    Vertical Jump-39 1/2 (1st among QBs)
Broad Jump-10 ft 8 in (1st among QBs)
    Three cone-7.00 (4th among QBs)

Michael Robinson (6-1, 226) was not in the top 5 in any category at the combine but here are his Pro-day numbers.

    40 Time 4.56
    Ball Speed-n/a
    Vertical Jump-32 1/2
    Broad Jump-9 foot 11 in
    Three cone-6.95

Robinson is the better passer; however, that is moot point, since neither project as NFL QBs. I've seen both play and I feel that Smith has better potential as a WR because he is faster, more explosive, better in the open field, more elusive and deceptively strong. There's been talk that Robinson might have to move to the defensive side of the ball.

I'd take McNeal over both of those guys if we want a project at WR

McNeal is an athletic freak in every sense of the word- heck, he might even get a chance to be an NFL QB

Robinson is a worse WR than he is a QB.

To say that would be a lie... in college he would be able to be the #1 WR on most teams in the NCAA and if he spent his entire career at WR he would be projected as a 6th or 7th round pick. Pro wise he would make a good #3 or #4 WR... but he has the potential to start in this league as a safety and he should explore that instead.
