I was searching through ESPN and saw some info on this guy. 6'3 250 lbs. out of Louisville rushed for 1143 yds and 23 tds. The guy is huge and as of now isn't highly touted yet ( i know its early) but im a fan of the big backs. How would you guys feel about him. He clearly has a nose for the end zone. He ran the 40 in 4.47 so hes also got speed.
Yea, like GH said, he is fairly highly touted. I personally like Adrian Peterson alot more than I do Bush, and think if we're in a high enough position, we should grab Peterson.
Im more blown away by the fact that hes excited about Bush even though hes never seen him play or heard of him. Gotta love "football fans" who are like that.
This guy will either be a game-changing player in the NFL, or a total flop and waste of a pick like Ron Dayne.
I'm with you AGS...................Peterson would be my 1st choice. Lets' not get ahead of ourselves with Michael Bush. He ran behind 2 RBs that entered the NFL this year, granted he has showed promise.......let's see how Bush does in 06. Peterson, if he stays healthy, is a slam dunk Top 3 pick when he declares.
He's way too big for the NFL. He's 6'3", and no matter the height and speed, NFL linebackers will kill him in the lower part of his body. He also runs over the Big East.. Tough feat. I don't like Peterson either, though as he runs high and is a spotty blocker. Great runner, sure but I'm still worried about him betweent he tackles. He's one of the best open field runners, but he looks slow into the hole at times. My favorite tailbacks for next year are Marshawn Lynch (LT Jr.), and Kenny Irons whom is a spitting image of Cadillac Williams.
completely agree i just never knew how to put it... hes to big.lol lynch is my favortie runningback. imo perfect size and speed to fit it.
Eddie George was 6'3", 235, and his career YPC rate is 3.6. He couldn't even get 1,000 yards on 315 carries at one point in his career. He's the epitome of mediocrity.
And George is a rare case for even mediocre, the overwhelming majority of RBs that size fail miserably
I don't care what you say, Eddie George was not mediocre. He didn't have a long elustrious career, but he was a good back in his prime.
Even then that is just 1 guy, my main point still holds the large majority of RBs that size fail in the NFL
He's basically a lock for a first round pick, watch some Louisville games, this guy is a standout. Went to Louisville as a QB, moved to RB, has played a bit WR too I believe, versatile, huge but fast...
