Give them the Revis 3rd (hopefully) and a bucket of sardines. No-one knows how healthy Barnes is going to return and Pace can't keep going forever.

I expect the Raiders to offer something dumb.

Stay away, kid was terrible for Miami on a defense that was pretty good.

Let's use our draft picks on players coming out of this draft and let Miami deal with consequences of bad management.

Too big of a cap hit for Miami to take if they could trade him.

If the jets show interest, Rex believes he can get something out of the guy. He maybe a scheme mismatch in miami's 4-3 but a fit for the jets 3-4 (hybrid). The guy was a top 5 pick that can possibly be had for a 4th round pick that's awesome value in my book.

Don't think they have a choice if they are looking to move him.

Where are you coming up with that he can possibly be had for a 4th rd pick? Even if the phins were going to trade Jordan, which management told him they are not, they would certainly want a lot more than a 4th rd pick in compensation. Some teams make stupid moves I really don't see them taking a $10 million cap hit to trade a #3 pick for a 4th rounder the following year.

The question was what would you give for Dion Jordan.

In any case, Miami can't expect compensation in line with what they gave up for a player who doesn't fit their scheme and has struggled with injury. He hasn't proven he can play in the NFL (albeit with mitigating circumstances) so you wouldn't waste a top draft pick for 2014.

He said that he could possibly be had for a 4th, I don't think there is any way he can be had for a 4th and gave my reasoning. I don't expect them to get what they gave up for him but I also don't expect they will be giving him away.

The problem lies in the hybrid aspect, meaning you are not going to be in a 3-4 all the time like the steelers, when you ask him to take on the responsibilities of the 4-3 end he is going to get bulldozed or maybe confused as to his role as LB covering a zone or man to man.

I don't think Miami is going to let him go for a 4th round as was stated, but if they are willing to cut their losses and move on I agree with you I would consider it.

I don't think that will be the case though, they paid a high price, just like the jets did a couple of years ago by trading up.

Not the jets problem to deal with and that's why I say move on and let the dolphins wallow in their own misery.

    AJ Duhe still haunts me.

    Fair point, apologies.

    Career statistics: 3 INT
Interceptions made against Richard Todd on 1/23/83: 3 INT

No worries, I know how some threads can veer off the original premise and make some responses seem out of line.

They are also shopping Wallace and Wake.

I wouldn't mind Dion Jordan at all. The guy can play most linebacker position's in either a 34 or 43 but like most say if he puts 20lbs on top of being 6"7 he will a 3 down linebacker who can rush the passer.

That being said Miami would never trade him or any other player with talent to us so doesn't even matter.

Teams just don't give up on top 5 draft picks that quickly or easily unless there's something very wrong with that player's attitude, skills or health. No way I'd touch him.

In what world would the dolphins trade a 2nd year 1st round pick or any player really to a division rival?

It's unreal that they trade up with their 2nd rounder to get this guy, skipping over some very good players (imagine they picked up Ansah) at bigger positions of need and getting a bust. Didn't like his tape when he came out. Couldn't have happened to a better team.

I wouldn't call him a bust just yet. The phins system and his style of play did not match up. That is on the phins. I would At least give him a couple more years before I start labeling him a bust.

First off, Miami's not giving up on this guy after one season. Secondly, there's not a prayer they'd give him up for a 4th rounder so it's a moot point.

That is pretty misleading. Here is what I am reading.

That seems a far cry from "shopping" them.

And anyone that thinks the Dolphins will trade the Jets Dion Jordan for a 4th round pick aren't really grounded in reality. Would you trade Geno Smith to the Patriots for a 5th? Dee Milliner for a 4th? That's how ridiculous it is.

    I didn't say Miami was asking for a 4th, I said I would give them a 4th. No one's giving them a 1st or 2nd.
