Okay so we play the fucking awful astros...we must look to sweep this series.

On a side note I think Collins deserve great credit fo holding this franchise together with all the injuries and lack of investment

Martinez with a 2run shot. Reyes on board with 1 out. down 4-3. Would be a nice comeback.

Wright with a 2 run shot to take the lead. Houston gets the leadoff runner on in bot. of 8th.

Great win tonight. Good to see F-Mart with that hit too....maybe he's finally coming around.

Martinez is only 22 still, we forget how young he is.

I said earlierin season that players like him should be given a long term look over retreads like Hairston etc.

Another good win and .500 beckon!!!!!!

I'm always moaning about how much we suck, so I have to give credit where credit is due. Nice win, and Wright with a big late game hit FTW. Rodriguez has been pitching great lately, too. Hopefully they ride the momentum from this win throughout the rest of the series. I'd like to see Dickey finally pitch a good game this season.

What the hell is the Houston manager doing leaving in this kid after he threw 35 pitches in the last inning, giving up 4 runs, and then letting the first two guys on base in the next? Just begging for that 3-run shot to happen.

hehehh, that was certainly a help to the mets.

i think gary and keith were talking about how the astros manager really didnt have much of a choice since the rest of his bullpen was so unreliable and shit.

The Mets have won four road series this year. Last year they won a total of five. Progress!

I like that the Mets brought up F-mart. If he gets comfortable in the big leagues, it makes it that much easier to trade Beltran and stay competitive. I like the fight in the team this year and i realize the playoffs may be a stretch with our starting pitching woes. Nothing worse than being out of playoff contention in July. Collins seems to have this team believing in themselves.

Another gutsy win, one thing none of us can say this year is that they aren't giving there all.

Are we good not even close but I honestly believe youth is the way we turn this around. Give the likes of Martinez / Turner / Tejada the time in the majors , we are too slow to promote what little farm talent we have, suddenly we could find a diamond.

Who gave Turner a shot in spring training not a one but suddenly we have a kid who looks a half decent 2b.

Get Pagan and Santana back healthy and we may yet break .500!!

How can you say we are too slow to promote with Davis, Neise and Thole playing such prominent roles?
