    Pedro vs. Jamie Moyer

    Santana vs. Kyle Kendrick

On the road, and each game has a clear pitching edge.

    Hoping my luck holds.

    Braves at Mets, 8/19-8/21. Sweep

    Mets at Pirates, 8/15-8/18 . 3 of 4

    Mets at Nationals, 8/12-8/. Sweep

And last night's thread, where I attended the 9-1 rout.

If you're counting, that's 10 wins and one loss.

davecrazy went 1-2 with favorable matchups at home.

I'll gladly take a split here. Pedro in Philly is bad enough but that fossil Moyer is pitching so you can pretty much put the Mets down for a run or two on 3 hits over 7 innings. The Mets have been lighting up these soft tossing finesse pitchers all year but for some reason they never seem to be able to hit Moyer.

Also, not to take anything away from your thread starting skills but the ones you listed were against some pretty horrific teams.

yeah, but that was coming off a stretch against horrible play against bad teams. If you remember, you were singing quite a different tune before we started that Washington series.

All those are bad teams (Pirates, Astros, Braves, Nationals), but we had sucked against bad teams prior to that.

Moyer has very good career numbers against the Mets, but the first inning results in 27 pitches and 2 runs.

Castro and Church fail, however. Bases loaded, one out? Score a run.

Pedro sucks, obviously, so a lot more than two runs will be needed. I'd say 6, at the very least.

Pedro fans Howard and Victorino swinging with 2nd and 3rd.

Not sure why the Phillies are running this odd lineup out there. Utley second, Burrell third, Victorino 5th.

Given Burrell, I would've done it Victorino second, Utley third, and Burrell cleanup.

Easley throws on Ruiz on a play where he was running towards left field to conclude a 1-2-3 second for Pedro.

Beltran and Delgado both single to left to start off the third. Seven hits off Moyer.

No outs in the third and he's up to 54 pitches.

Beltran steals third and was standing up when the throw came in. Huge jump.

Tatis hits Beltran with a ball but it's ruled foul.

Moyer up to 62 pitches. Still no one out.

So three three run homers in two nights so far for the Mets.

That ball was up around his shoulders.

Good to see us get one of those cheap HRs for our side for once.

Tatis's homer capped off an 11 pitch AB. Not only did he get three runs in, he worked Moyer. Moyer could be done after this inning. I don't see him going longer than 4.

    Pedro singles!

Had to go to the HS for coach/parent orientation, and very happy with the situation now that I'm back. Now if Pedro and the bullpen don't do anything stupid, all of a sudden there's a lot of pressure on the Phils.

because it's a road game, tonight is a good opportunity to work the Philly bullpen.

Pedro just got Burrell looking with a nasty curve. 3 innings, 2 hits, no walks, 5 strikeouts, 56 pitches.

Phillies have Condrey warming, because Moyer is up to 72 pitches. I say he doesn't go beyond the 4th.

edit: He doesn't even start the 4th. Moyer's done after 3. 6 innings of Philly bullpen. Yum.

Good 3 for Pedro, but with 56 pitches already, can he even make it through 6?
